Kakegawa Bird Park: A Paradise for Bird Lovers!

📍Kakegawa Bird Park Address: 1517 Nishi-Sato, Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, 436-0024 Admission: Adults ¥1,800 Located about a 15-minute walk from Kakegawa Station, this bird park is a haven for bird enthusiasts from all over Japan. 🦉 The park is home to a wide variety of birds, ranging from raptors and waterfowl to adorable parrots. In the back of the park, you’ll find the famous shoebill stork, known for its stillness. (Although, I’ve visited several times and have seen it move quite often!) Don’t miss the entertaining bird shows and the impressive flight demonstrations by raptors. 🦅 One of the main attractions is the water lily area, where visitors can interact with the charming sun conures. For just ¥100, you can purchase a cup of apples, and these colorful parrots will flock to you—it’s absolutely adorable! This area alone makes the visit worthwhile. If you’re looking for a relaxing time with birds, this is the place to be. 🦆🦜🦉🐧 ⚠️ Note: By midday, the parrots may be full and less likely to approach, so visiting early in the morning is recommended! ⚠️ Also, be prepared for potential bird droppings—wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty!
