Kin Town, the northernmost of the Ryukyu Hachisha Shrines [Kingu Shrine (Kannonji Temple)] Kingu Shrine, unlike the other Ryukyu Hachisha Shrines, does not have a shrine building, but is enshrined as Kin Gongen in a limestone cave within the grounds of Kin Kannonji Temple. There are no lights inside the limestone cave, so it is dim even during the day and you need to be careful where you step. I hesitated at first, but I used the light from my smartphone to descend the steep stairs. When you enter the limestone cave, you can be sensitive to the sounds, smells, and air flow inside the cave in the silence. There is no goshuin stamp for Kingu Shrine, but you can get one at Kannonji Temple. It is not well known, but it is a spot where you can experience the limestone cave in its natural state.
