It seems like you can't visit Japan without trying eel rice, so I chose an eel restaurant near my accommodation, rated 4.8 on Google! Great value for money, and their specialty is sansho pepper with eel! I love sansho pepper, so 👍👍👍 Five Elements. Eel with Sansho Pepper uses foreign Japanese eel, premium rice from an old Kyoto shop, high-quality grape sansho pepper from Hirano Seishouan in Wakayama Prefecture, and carefully selected sauce. They offer a whole eel set, but I opted for the three-way eel. The first way is to taste it directly, the second way is to add green onions and wasabi, and the third way is to add broth. Honestly, all three ways are delicious! They start by using a blue-light sansho pepper shaker to add sansho pepper to your eel, which is a little performance. Then, they tell you that you can add the condiments on the side, including sansho pepper! Don't be fooled by the few slices of eel; I was so full that I almost couldn't finish it!
