Ku Kut Chamadevi, Wat Chamadevi, Lamphun Province

Wat Chamdevi or Ku Kut Chamdevi is another important and sacred temple of Lamphun people. It is an ancient temple with an important historical site, the Suwannajangkot Chedi, which has long been believed to be the place where the ashes of Queen Chamadevi are enshrined. This chedi in the shape of a castle in Hariphunchai used to have a spire, but due to deterioration over time, the spire broke off, which the locals call Ku Kut or Wat Chedi Kut (broken spire). The ancient house in front of the temple houses a statue and a painting of Queen Chamadevi.
