But since this is the Buddhist Lent and Asalha Bucha Day, I thought I wanted to worship Buddha, so I decided to go to Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Korat. And many people said that if I have the chance to come to Korat, another temple that I shouldn't miss is Wat Sala Loi. Wat Sala Loi is a temple that has a direct history with Ya Mo. Wat Sala Loi is located in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. It is an ancient temple that Thao Suranaree built with Phraya Suriyadet or Palad Thongkham, the deputy mayor of Nakhon Ratchasima, her husband, after defeating the army of Chao Anuwong in 1827. After the war at Thung Samrit, while leading the army back to Nakhon Ratchasima, Khunying Mo stopped to rest at Tha Tako and ordered her soldiers to make a raft in the shape of a pavilion to float down Lam Takong. She prayed that if this pavilion-shaped raft floated and got stuck anywhere, she would build a temple as a memorial. The raft floated and got stuck on the right bank of Lam Takong, which was an abandoned temple, so she built a chapel. It is currently Wat Sala Loi. #Worship and pray #Worship Ya Mo
