Today, it was built in 1770. The architecture of the pagoda is beautiful. On the ground floor, there are archways in all four directions. Inside the chapel, there is an important Buddha image, Phra Chao Thong Thip, which is highly revered by people from both the local and foreign areas. Every year, there is a ceremony to pay homage and pour water on it regularly during the Songkran Festival, which is celebrated all day long. This is an important temple and is considered one of the oldest temples in Nan Province. It has been a temple that has been in Nan for over 600 years. There is also a sacred well, which was originally a spring that gushes water from underground. Later, it was renovated and built into a sacred well. This is located in front of the temple of Wat Suan Tan. This makes Wat Suan Tan a temple that is very connected to the people of Nan, whether in terms of faith or regular Buddhist activities, such as chanting prayers at the end of the year or pouring water on the Buddha image.
