The Westin Nanjing Resort & Spa: A Complete Guide to a Dream Family Vacation I'm one step closer to my goal of staying in 100 hotels! This time, I experienced The Westin Nanjing Resort & Spa, located in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing. It's perfect for vacations and family trips, so I'm sharing a detailed review. 💰️ Cost per person The lowest cash price for a room is around 960 RMB, with prices increasing during peak season. 🏘️️️ Room Types/Layout The basic rooms are over 50 square meters, and the Private Garden Hot Spring Suites are approximately 107 square meters, offering ample space. The rooms are well-designed, with a clear division between the living room, cloakroom, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony. Even with basic Platinum status, I was upgraded to a Garden View Suite. The decor is sophisticated and truly impressive. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities The bedding and toiletries maintain the Westin's signature comfort. The bathtubs in the hot spring suites are filled with officially certified Tangshan underground hot spring water, rich in minerals and beneficial to health. The hotel has huge indoor and outdoor children's play areas, along with the Westin's signature spa, swimming pool, fitness center, and unique outdoor hot spring pools. Although sometimes only one hot spring pool is open, checking in on a working day allows you to enjoy it all to yourself. The TV has screen mirroring, which is very convenient. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness The soundproofing is excellent; I barely heard any outside noise while resting. The cleanliness is also outstanding, with both the rooms and public areas kept spotless, ensuring a comfortable stay. 💗 Other Tips 1. Location and Transportation: The hotel is located within the Jiangsu Garden Expo Park, surrounded by many luxury hotels. Directly across is the industrial-style Jumeirah Nanjing. Driving is very convenient, as it's close to the Yangshan toll station on the G42 Shanghai–Chengdu Expressway. It's about a 40-minute taxi ride from Nanjing's two main train stations, but public transportation isn't very convenient. 2. Hotel and Park Experience: Before checking in, you'll receive information about park tickets, which you can scan upon entry. Inside the park, there are thirteen Jiangsu gardens, an underwater botanical garden, a Librairie Avant-Garde, and many other picturesque spots and children's play areas worth exploring. The hotel, designed by a Thai architect, blends natural elements with a wood-based style. The high-ceilinged lobby, combined with plants and fragrances, creates a vibrant atmosphere. 3. Dining Experience: The hotel breakfast is served in The Market, an all-day dining restaurant on the first floor. The food is excellent, with a wide variety of high-quality options. There are also parent-child baking activities on weekends and holidays. Besides the hotel restaurants, there's a free shuttle bus to the Yuanbo Food Street in the Garden Expo Park. Nearby shopping malls include Jinying Hubin Tiandi and Wanda Plaza in Qixia District. 4. Service Experience: The service was excellent throughout my stay. Although there's no lounge, the staff were friendly. I stayed on a working day when it wasn't crowded, and the staff were very patient. They even brought a heater to my room in the evening. Breakfast was changed to an à la carte buffet style, and I was able to enjoy a late checkout at 4 pm. The overall experience was superb.
