Wat Chalong in Phuket is a famous local attraction and is highly respected. The temple once helped residents resist evil forces, and the monks were proficient in herbal therapy and made outstanding contributions. There are 108 golden Buddha statues enshrined in the temple. The most eye-catching one is a 60-meter-high pagoda (Chedi), which contains Buddha's broken bones and has murals depicting the life of Buddha. Admission is free, but you are required to dress appropriately and avoid shorts, short skirts or revealing clothing. Please take off your shoes when entering as a sign of respect.
