📍Day 1: Xiamen Gulangyu Island Morning: Take a ferry to the island, visit the famous corner, Shuzhuang Garden, and take some artistic photos of the international architecture. Afternoon: Enjoy Shacha noodles and fish ball soup on Longtou Road, and visit the Huangjia Garden Villas. Evening: Return to Xiamen city. Accommodation: Hotels near Zhongshan Road. The Eighth Market offers great food, especially the fried five-spice. 📍Day 2: Quanzhou Ancient City Morning: Take the high-speed train to Quanzhou (30 mins), visit the twin pagodas of Kaiyuan Temple and West Street. Afternoon: Pray for good luck at Guandi Temple, and experience the unique hair ornaments at Xunpu Village. It's a great place for photos, so book a photographer in advance. Evening: Have dinner on West Street and try the ginger duck (Zhongji/Sidan). I prefer Sidan, haha. 📍Day 3: Quanzhou Cultural Tour Morning: Climb Qingyuan Mountain to see the Laojun Rock. Afternoon: Visit the Mintaiyuan Museum and take photos of the Southeast Asian-style architecture in Wudian City Traditional Blocks. Return to Xiamen: Take the high-speed train back to Xiamen before 18:00. 📍Day 4: Last Day in Xiamen Morning: Pray for blessings at Nanputuo Temple (free), and visit the outside of Xiamen University. Afternoon: Visit the Shapowei Art District market. Transfer to the airport for your return trip before 16:00. · Useful tips Transportation: Take the "Xiaobai" bus (CNY 2/trip) between Quanzhou attractions. Use the subway/shared e-bikes in Xiamen. Things to avoid: Book Gulangyu ferry tickets 3 days in advance. It is recommended to enter Qingyuan Mountain before 8:00 to avoid the heat. Must-try foods: Earthworm jelly and Four Fruit Soup in Quanzhou; peanut soup and oyster omelet in Xiamen.
