The aftermath of Loi Krathong...flying to Sukhothai Airport

Loy Krathong is over...but the post is not over yet I had a chance to go to Sukhothai during the Loy Krathong festival. Although I didn't get to join the candle burning, I got other impressions instead. I flew Bangkok Airways to Sukhothai. It took me a little over an hour to arrive. The airport is in Sawankhalok, quite far from the city. This airport is better than I thought. The passenger terminal is in Sukhothai local architecture. There is a prominent pagoda with rice sheafs waiting to receive passengers in front of the terminal. It is similar to Samui and Trat airports, which are designed as a tropical open air. However, it is convenient and you can use the electric train service to take you from the plane to the passenger terminal. It's really cool.
