Check in at No. 62 Fuxing West Road

The Hengshan Road and Fuxing Road Historical and Cultural District, referred to as the Hengfu District, covers an area of ​​4.3 square kilometers. It is one of the first 12 historical and cultural districts in Shanghai that have been identified and protected by legislation. It is also the largest historical and cultural district in Shanghai's central urban area with the most outstanding historical buildings and the most complete historical style. No. 62 Fuxing West Road, this typical Spanish-style building was formerly a monastery apartment built in 1930 with a total construction area of ​​approximately 900 square meters. It was announced as a Shanghai cultural relic protection site in 1989 and is also one of the first batch of outstanding historical buildings in Shanghai. After two years of renovation, it was opened to the public free of charge in 2019 and various exhibitions are held periodically. What is being held now is a fashion exhibition and on-site sales. It is large in scale and full of design sense. It is a great artistic enjoyment to go in and take a closer look. If you spend more time, you can order a cup of coffee to slowly savor it and look at the details of the building. It is really a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the cafe was closed for some reason on the day I checked in, so I couldn't enjoy it properly. It seems that I can only go there during the next exhibition.
