Located in the northern part of Shanghai, Baoshan District's Luodian Town was established during the Yuan Dynasty's Zhi Zheng years, and gradually became a large town by the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. There was a time when the saying 'Gold Luodian, Silver Nanxiang, Bronze Jiangwan, Iron Dachang' was popular among the people. In terms of developing local tourism, the ancient town can integrate the tourism resources within the town and form a comprehensive tourism circle: namely, Luodian Ancient Town, Baoshan Temple, and Meilan Lake scenic area. Not far north of the ancient town, just a ten-minute journey away, is the internet-famous Baoshan Temple; 1.8 kilometers directly south of the ancient town is the 4A scenic spot Meilan Lake.
