Shanghai's new landmark, the super fun "Jinchao 8 Nong", is a place that combines the charm of old Shanghai with a modern and trendy vibe! It's decorated for the Lunar New Year, so come and check it out! 👍 ☑️ It's also very convenient to get to. If you're taking the subway, take Line 10 to North Sichuan Road Station and exit from Exit 3. 💝 If you're driving, you can park your car at 💓Binhang Commercial Center, which is currently free all day, so take advantage of it while you can. 🍀 Suggested route 1⃣ First, check out Yichi Garden - the century-old mansion "Yingchuan Jilu", which is an old house dating back to 1907, with a blend of Chinese and Western styles, perfect for taking photos. Yichi Garden has food and drinks, but 🖍 if you go late, you'll have to wait in line. When you first enter Yichi Garden, you'll see a lot of orange chairs lined up like a conference room. I thought it was for a meeting, but then I realized it was for waiting, which is a great setup. 2⃣ After visiting the Yichi Garden building, go see the exhibition. There is a "Modern Renaissance" design exhibition in Building 5, which will give you a good understanding of the history and charm of Shanghai. 3⃣ The animation screening area in Building 1 will show selected works from the HiShorts! animation unit, which is super interesting. If you like reading, go to the Le Kai Bookstore in Building 5, which also has a "Back to Childhood" exhibition, and you'll feel like you're back in your childhood. 4⃣ Don't miss Ba Jin's former residence, which is now a great place to read books. If you read "Family, Spring, and Autumn" again, you'll have a different feeling. There are a lot of events going on lately, and if you happen to catch a market event, like the Chaoji Market, it's even more lively. The North Plaza Market area and the alleyways are full of delicious food, as well as all kinds of cultural and creative products, trendy clothes, and handicrafts. It's so much fun to eat and shop at the same time. Jinchao 8 Nong often has themed events, such as the Intangible Cultural Heritage Aoyu Lantern Alley Parade, the Haipai Lantern Festival Concert, and the Chaozhou Yingge Dance Performance. Check the schedule in advance and join in the fun. Food recommendations (none, don't fall for it) To be honest, there isn't much to eat here, most of it is small fast food restaurants, and the lines are long during the Lunar New Year. Eat before you come or find a place to eat after you visit.
