The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong｜Not ideal for those in a hurry

Recently stayed one night at The Ritz-Carlton Pudong, and the overall experience can be described as "consistently solid." Location is a plus - riverside and quiet, offering rare "pure views" of Pudong at night. But if you're used to livelier surroundings, you might find it a bit too tranquil here. Service was what impressed me most. Staff at reception, housekeeping, and breakfast areas were efficient and polite with their eyes - the typical "I appear when you need me" service style that feels very comfortable. Rooms follow classic luxury aesthetics - not the Instagrammable kind, but with solid attention to detail. The bed was excellent for light sleepers. The spacious bathroom was perfect for soaking in the tub while listening to music. Toiletries were somewhat standard. Breakfast quality was good though not spectacular - the comfortable kind. The real pleasure was sitting by the window enjoying river views while daydreaming. Overall, this property suits those seeking "quiet stays." If you're a fast-paced traveler, you might find it too slow; but if you want undisturbed quality sleep, it's perfect for you.
