Shiroishi Castle was the residence of Katakura Kojuro Shigenaga, a military commander who was active in the Edo period's "Summer Campion of Osaka". Although most of the buildings were destroyed during the Meiji period, the castle tower "Shiroishi Castle Three-story Turret" has been faithfully restored to its original appearance and is now located in Masuoka Park in Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture. The Shiroishi Castle History Museum in the park also displays a model of what the castle town looked like at the time. This time, we will introduce various attractions in and around Shiroishi Castle, including local events such as the "Oni Kojuro Festival" and the "Shiroishi Castle Sakura Festival"!
