Kamasaki Onsen Ichijo Ryokan in Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture

Tokiennoya Tamanushi Kicho Ryokan Ichijo no Yu Ichijo Ryokan at Kamasaki Onsen, a wooden building built in the Taisho era, is now the ryokan's restaurant. The ryokan has two hot spring baths, one is a medicinal bath and the other is an open-air bath. We booked a one-night stay with two meals at the ryokan. Japanese hot spring inns always surprise us. After soaking in the hot spring, the ryokan staff came to our room to take us to the restaurant. Walking through the long corridors of the ryokan and crossing the corridor bridge connecting the restaurant and the rooms felt like the bathhouse in Spirited Away. The exquisite dinner not only satisfied our stomachs but also our eyes. The rice for the next day's breakfast was made with rice produced in Shiroishi, with the rice fields right next to the road leading to the ryokan. After being greatly satisfied, we were ready to start our journey again with full spirits.
