Taiwanese Delights at +886 Bistro

I’ve been craving Taiwanese food recently and I happened to chance upon +886 Bistro along Jalan Besar to satisfy my craving! Prices here are nett and very reasonable, and the food was good too. [Ah Bao Braised Pork Fries ($11.80)] This dish came with a generous portion of soft fries slathered with cheese, mayo and a whole lot of minced braised pork! Definitely one of the better loaded fries I’ve had, sinful but delicious! 🍟 I also loved that the bottom fries were drenched in braised sauce. [Ah Bao Braised Pork Rice ($5.80)] This is one of the better Braised Pork Rice (Lu Rou Fan) iIve had in Singapore! The braised pork comes with a nice ratio of tender meat and fat, giving a lovely melt-in-your-mouth texture 🤤 You can even request for leaner meat (at best effort) when you order, but this was just right for me. The sticky japanese pearl rice was glistening and well coated with sauce, and the addition of chye poh (salted radish) was a unique and nice touch 😋 [Truffle Scallion Udon ($7.80)] The udon was soft and chewy, tossed in a light truffle sauce and scallion oil. It also came with a good amount of chunky chicken shreds! [Honey Glazed Crispy Chicken ($8.80)] The chicken is tender and coated with a thin crispy exterior, which doesn’t make it feel too oily or heaty! The taste was surprisingly light, not too salty and with a nice sweetness from the honey glaze 🍯 Must order!
