[Saga Prefecture] Mifuneyama Rakuen, one of the prefecture's most nationally designated scenic spots

Located in Takeo Onsen, Saga Prefecture, Mifuneyama Rakuen is one of the most famous scenic spots in Saga. It is a nationally designated Japanese garden where you can enjoy seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms, azaleas, and wisteria flowers in spring, fresh greenery in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and a collaboration of camellias and snow in winter. In particular, the azalea valley from late April to early May is synonymous with Mifuneyama Rakuen. The Azalea Festival is held during Golden Week. The peak in 2025 will be around April 20th, but the timing varies each year depending on the weather. The Kurume Azalea is in full bloom first, and the Hirado Azalea on the mountain side blooms later. At night, the garden is lit up and a project by TeamLab is held. You can also enjoy the "Kamisuma Forest" simulation mapping (additional charge). A leisurely stroll through the park takes about an hour.
