The neat rows of beech trees with their leaves removed had a certain dignified beauty, making it a fitting sight for the name "Bijinbayashi". The forest, enveloped in a cloudy sky, was quiet and silent, so quiet that even footsteps could be heard. Just walking through the cool air that signaled the arrival of winter made it seem like I was forgetting the hustle and bustle of everyday life and my heart was suddenly lighter. It wasn't flashy, but that's why I was captivated by the delicate expressions of nature and the patterns on the beech trunks.
