During the dry season, the lotus in the pond blooms, contrasting with the buildings behind. In the autumn, the lotus wilts over time. In the winter, the water freezes, reflecting the temple. This temple is dedicated to the god of prosperity, who is worshipped in both Buddhism and Shinto, so it is a temple and Benten Shrine in the same place.
