An Enchanting French Encounter in the Ancient Capital of Chang'an During my recent trip to Xi'an, I chose to stay at the Sofitel Legend Hotel to make my journey more enjoyable. What I thought would be just a place to rest became the most memorable part of this trip. The ornate iron gate at the hotel entrance immediately caught my eye. Pushing it open felt like stepping into a European castle. The shadows of the colonnade danced on the antique floor tiles, while the iris flowers decorating the revolving door exuded a subtle romantic charm. Who would have thought that in the ancient city of Xi'an, one could find such a distinctly French-styled haven? After check-in, I eagerly went to my room. The south-facing room offered an incredible view of the Ming City Wall right before my eyes. In the morning, sunlight bathed the city wall while the moat sparkled below. Young women in traditional Hanfu strolled along the riverbank - a scene both classical and beautiful, truly befitting a city that served as capital for thirteen dynasties. I discovered many perfect photo spots throughout the hotel. The spiral staircase at 10 AM, with its diagonal sunlight, looked stunning from any angle; the vintage elevator offered great mirror selfie opportunities with amazing ambiance; the corridor archways captured through a wide-angle lens produced magazine-worthy shots; and the evening view of the Bell Tower from my room window, brilliantly lit up, earned countless likes on social media. Beyond its beautiful environment, the hotel's service was equally impressive. The staff were warm and professional, quickly addressing any needs. This stay not only provided a comfortable respite during my tiring journey but also introduced me to a different kind of romance.
