The room decor features fun little knickknacks, and while there's no lake view, the actual scenery outside the window is still pleasant. North-facing rooms are recommended for quieter stays. ② Amenities The bed is super comfortable, but the buckwheat pillows fall short compared to W's (W uses full buckwheat filling, while The Ritz-Carlton only has a top layer). Both have Samsung smart TVs, but screen mirroring works better here – it skips ads automatically, unlike W's ad-filled mirroring experience. The hairdryer is disappointing—neither Dyson nor Lefant. The oversized dressing mirror is excellent, outperforming W's. ③ Service Received welcome fruits and tiger-shaped cookies with Xi'an flair. Front desk staff were friendly, but check-in delays left one room unavailable until 4:30 PM. Nearby branches of Ziwulu Zhangji Rougamo and Yongli Barbecue (yesterday's dinner spot) are within easy reach. However, compared to W, it adds 10-20 mins' drive to attractions: Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Paradise, Shaanxi History Museum, Terracotta Warriors, Huaqing Palace, and Song of Everlasting Sorrow. Distance to the ancient city wall is similar to W's. For first-time Xi'an visitors, W gets priority for its proximity to sights. Business travelers? The Ritz-Carlton wins for comfort and convenience.
