In addition to the hot spring, the facility also has a restaurant, a rest area, and a souvenir shop, so you can relax and unwind. This time, I visited because I wanted to take a snow-viewing bath. There was more snow than I expected, and I was able to experience something out of the ordinary. It is known for being the second most acidic hot spring in the country, so if you have a wound, it will sting quite a bit. I have sensitive skin, so I enjoyed the Shi-Roku bath and the indoor bath. I visited around 3 p.m. on a weekday, and it wasn't that crowded. The fee was ¥1,000 for adults. The ski resort is nearby, so there were many people returning from skiing. The souvenir shop had a wide selection of Yamagata souvenirs as well as local sake.
