Travel Guide for Yangshuo, Guilin, Guangxi, China: Two-Day Itinerary

Yangshuo, a paradise surrounded by mountains and rivers, is mainly divided into two major tourist areas: the Li River and the Yulong River. A two-day itinerary is enough to deeply experience the unique charm of these two areas. The Li River area centers around Xingping Ancient Town, connecting classic attractions such as the 20 Yuan RMB background, Xianggong Mountain, Nine Horses Fresco Hill, and the famous Guilin landscape. The Yulong River area starts from West Street in Yangshuo, with natural scenery like bamboo rafting and the Ten-Mile Gallery that will leave you enchanted. The drive between Xingping Ancient Town and West Street takes about an hour, making transportation convenient. In Yangshuo, taxis are somewhat inconvenient, and driving yourself can easily lead to traffic jams. Therefore, renting an electric scooter and riding around is undoubtedly the best choice. Yangshuo 2-Day Itinerary: Day 1: Yangshuo Station ➠ Xingping Ancient Town ➠ 20 Yuan RMB Viewing Platform ➠ Nine Horses Fresco Hill ➠ Distant View of Guilin Landscape ➠ Xianggong Mountain ➠ West Street Take the high-speed train to Yangshuo in the morning, then take a shuttle bus to Xingping Ancient Town and explore the town. After exploring, rent an electric scooter and ride to the 20 Yuan RMB Viewing Platform, then continue riding to Mashan Pier, where you can park the scooter nearby. At the pier, locals sell all-inclusive tickets for Xianggong Mountain (ferry + sightseeing bus + entrance ticket) for about 80-100 RMB per person, which is reasonable. On the way to Xianggong Mountain by sightseeing bus, you will pass by Nine Horses Fresco Hill and the Guilin landscape viewing point, where you can stop to take photos. It takes about half an hour to climb Xianggong Mountain, where you can overlook the stunning Li River. Day 2: Cycling along the Yulong River ➠ Bamboo Rafting in the Ten-Mile Gallery ➠ Cycling the Ten-Mile Gallery ➠ Departure Rent an electric scooter from West Street and follow this cycling route: Fuli Bridge → Jinlong Bridge → Yulong Bridge → Old County Pier → Shuangliu Yidu Pavilion → Chaoyang Dam → Jima Pier → Wanzhou Pavilion → Yulong Flower and Rice Fragrance Area → Shui'e Di Pier. For bamboo rafting, we recommend the route from Shui'e Di Pier to Wanjing Pier, which costs 200 RMB per raft for 2 people. This section is the Ten-Mile Gallery. At the end of the bamboo rafting, take the official ferry back to the starting pier, retrieve your scooter, and continue the cycling route: Shui'e Di Pier → Zhudou Village → Wanjing Pier → West Street.
