The former site of the Central Command of the Crossing the Yangtze River Campaign is located at the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall at No. 36 Zhengda, Congyang County, Tongling City, Anhui Province. The ancestral hall is a Qing Dynasty building with three sections: front, middle and back. In 1978, the Cultural Relics Management Office of Zongyang County renovated the ancestral hall to its original appearance. The front hall has three bays, with a foyer in the middle and the cultural relics management office and reception room on both sides; the middle hall displays 64 cultural relics of the Crossing the Yangtze River Campaign, including weapons used in the crossing, documents left behind, boatman's tools, war certificates, awards, flags, Crossing the Yangtze River victory medals, etc., as well as a large-scale schematic diagram of the Crossing the Yangtze River Campaign; there is a patio between the middle and back halls, with wing rooms on both sides; the back hall is the historical cultural relics exhibition room, which houses 283 precious cultural relics from past dynasties. In July 1961, the People's Government of Anhui Province announced the former site of the Central Command of the Crossing the Yangtze River Campaign as a key cultural relic protection unit in Anhui Province.
