"Room was on the small size, but had everything needed. Bathroom was clean and neat.
The only thing that let this trip down, was that the aircon is not working, and hasn’t been working for months. I previously had left this hotel as it was far too hot in the room, and all they offered was a fan. I called reception before booking, and they said how the air con was working, but then when I arrived, they said it “may be working, in some rooms”, but wasn’t working in ours.
But overall, this was a nice and comfortable hotel. Would book again once aircon is working."

"Was handy location for a visit to see my friend. Shame not all the staff on reception know about the way to get out so that you do not pay the tolls. The person who did know pulled out an A4 laminated card to show me so it is obviously a question they get asked a lot. Clean hotel and hand as in the same building as the services so easy access to grab something to eat."

"Hotel really clean and modern. Room was spacious and smelt amazing. Clean modern decor. Most staff are friendly, however, we booked breakfast when we arrived at the hotel, and the pot washer not only stood in the kitchen staring out at guests making them feel extremely uncomfortable, but then he also went and put his fingers in the food to stir the scrambled eggs, but he also picked up a sausage and ate it. The hotel refunded us, but it made us feel sick. Also, £9 per night per car in the Hilton car park is pretty steep."

"Like the last few trips, The hotel overall was excellent as always. The bed was really comfortable, the shower and bathroom were nice despite the small size. The room service was wonderful, came back to find the bed fully cleaned and tucked after coming back from a walk. Plus the staff were also really helpful when it came to helping with my reservation and what my other friends needed during the last four days there.
Really looking forward to coming back here again in August"

"Room is basic but that's all that was needed for 1 night. Some mould on blind but for the price I can overlook little things like that. Staff in bar very friendly and accomidating. Loud music can be heard from pub until late but my 6yr old still managed to sleep through it so didnt cause any issues. I would recommend for a cheaper stay over for Drayton Manor as its so close to the park."

"This place was nice. The room was a little out dated but it was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The wi-fi wasn’t the best and the tv was blocked from connecting to the wifi so no Netflix etc. The staff on reception were very friendly.
We didn’t take breakfast but we ate dinner in there restaurant, reasonably priced and some good meal options and deals, it was a bit loud as it’s also a bar."

"We booked to stay here as we had a daytime function nearby. We had a few hotels as options and chose here as it was a special occasion and this felt like a treat.
We all arrived at different times to get changed before leaving and said we all felt like we were an inconvenience from the moment we arrived. The staff weren't friendly or very helpful.
We arrived back from our function at 7.30pm and checked in, there was a change in staff but not a change in customer service.
We asked if we could get food from the restaurant and was told we couldn't because of ”everything else going on” which we assume was a wedding nor could we order room service. We asked if we were allowed to go for a drink in the bar and they said we could if we ”could find a table”.
We weren't informed of where breakfast was, the times or when check out was.
We went out for food in the end, but be mindful there isn't anything particularly nearby so it was a challenge with taxis but we found somewhere to eat easy enough (and had a lovely time).
The hotel itself is beautiful as are the grounds so we were really disappointed that the service didn't match it."

Amazing
GGuest UserWe stayed in the Keele Courtyard for 3 nights 27-30 December 2025, close enough to the village of Woore where our son hosted a large family gathering - 15 in all of which we are the parents of 3 and grandparents of 7.
We found most aspects of the hotel to be very good - very helpful and obliging staff, a spacious and well-appointed room with a large very accessible bathroom. The generous bed was perhaps a little soft for our taste, with pillows that were too large/over-filled to be completely comfortable, again not to our taste, however we slept without too much 'distress'!!
Our main disappointment was breakfast. We dined at 7.45am on our first morning as we had a 9am church service to attend and there were few others in the restaurant. The 'heated'
plates were cold, and without exception, every cooked item (an acceptable selection available) in the chafers was tepid if not cold and greasy. The fried egg yolks were solid and unpalatable.
The generic plain yoghurt was of thin consistency and tasteless. The unlabelled marmalade, (if that was what it was?!) had no flavour and might even have been apricot jam ...
There were plenty of cereal, pastry, Danish, roll, fruit, cold cut options etc. and the fruit salad and compote were delicious! The bread for toasting was basic and there were no uncut options to enable a choice of thickness. There was a seeded loaf, already sliced, available near the pastries, etc. which made delicious toast but could perhaps have been available for individual guests to cut more thickly?
The coffee from the machines was good, with a varied selection of choices. In order to have a cup of tea, it was necessary to 'dunk' a teabag in a mug - yes, very much what many tea-
drinkers do in their daily lives, but surely the availability of small stainless steel tea pots near the hot water is not beyond the imagination of an organisation like Marriot? Tea tastes so much better if allowed to brew in a teapot before being poured into a cup or mug!
Perhaps these comments will allow Marriot to review some of their Buffet Breakfast practises and improve the quality of the experience. May I conclude by saying that we have had worse and better - but are still looking for perfection ... !
Thank you for this opportunity to air my feelings. ************.

SSkyeDinnerExcellent welcome service; Immediate next to WaterWorld, decent room size and nice decoration but have no cooling A/C; quite a small swimming pool and jacuzzi been sealed off; excellent stream room which is sufficiently hot and wet; limited choices for dinner and breakfast.

GGuest UserWe really like staying here, if only for a single night to break up the evening drive from the south to the north west, picking our trip up again the following morning. Our most recent visit was the first using our new (to us) EV, so charging on site proved anxiety calming and very effective - albeit pricey! Thanks again to all concerned with our stay, we'll be back again - that is for sure! Best, M&C
GGuest UserA great little place with a lovely swimming pool. Enough activities to keep our 8 year old daughter happy. Lovely family time together in a very clean and well equipped lodge.
GGuest UserBack ina time it was really great hotel and now it is till they need little bit renovation but trust me it’s a great hotel nice swimming pool you have to have swimming cap and googles to swim which was not told before and I don’t think k this is right but service rooms breakfast location is all great another thing I do t like they took deposit which didn’t make sense and they haven’t returned yet
GGuest UserGreat receptionist who was very welcoming and friendly. Good location for access to the A500 and A34 roads as well as a bus stop only a 5 minute walk away. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is very dated and lack on soundproofing between the rooms is a major issue. I could hear the guy in the room below talking and could also hear the room next door opening and closing their toilet seat! I was awoken at 1am with an inconsiderate neighbour with their tv on very loud and coughing loudly. There is a main wing and smaller wing to the side. I stayed on the 1st floor in the main wing but I would recommend you ask for the 1st floor in the small wing to minimise the number of people around you and source of external noise.
View from the room was nice however.
EEesahThe guesthouse itself is within walking distance to Stoke-on-Trent Train Station and Staffordshire University (college road & leek road). The room and the property was very clean. The Owner Gabriel and Property Manager Joe was very helpful and made me feel safe during my stay.
They accommodate long stay with discounted price. The rooms are exactly how the advertised on website (if anything better).Rooms are very big and spacious, bathroom were very clean.
Rooms had aesthetic lights ( also dimmable).
There were Sockets near bed and 2 work desk/ study desk and settee with coffee table.
Free WiFi at the property.
In short great find and will stay here again.
