My stay at the Radisson RED London Gatwick Airport was genuinely an excellent experience and a perfect way to begin my journey. As someone who values comfort, cleanliness, convenience, and professional service when staying near an airport, I found this hotel to be an outstanding choice for anyone travelling through Gatwick, especially for an overnight stay before an early flight or after a long journey.
From the moment I arrived, the hotel made a very positive impression. The atmosphere is modern, stylish, and welcoming, with a fresh concept that stands out from many traditional airport hotels. The décor throughout the hotel feels vibrant and contemporary, creating an enjoyable environment that feels both relaxing and professional. It immediately gives guests a sense of comfort after the stress and fatigue of travelling.
One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided at reception, especially by Patrick. He was a genuinely kind, professional, and extremely helpful member of staff who made a noticeable difference to my experience. Patrick was supportive, approachable, and always willing to assist with any questions or requests. His friendly attitude and professionalism created a welcoming atmosphere from the start and made me feel valued as a guest. In today’s hospitality industry, it is not always easy to find staff members who go above and beyond, but Patrick certainly did. His positive attitude and willingness to help deserve special recognition, and I truly appreciated the effort he made to ensure everything went smoothly during my stay.
The check-in process itself was smooth and efficient, and the reception team overall were friendly and professional. Good customer service can transform a hotel experience, and this hotel clearly understands the importance of making guests feel comfortable and welcomed.
The room was modern, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully designed. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is one of the most important aspects of any hotel stay for me. After a long travel day, having a peaceful and comfortable room made a significant difference. The blackout curtains helped ensure a good night’s sleep, which is especially valuable before an early morning flight. The room also included practical amenities such as tea and coffee facilities, a smart television, excellent lighting, and a comfortable setup that felt modern without losing functionality. The bathroom was spotless and featured a spacious shower along with quality toiletries, making the stay even more enjoyable.

A castle with a British style, elegant hotel environment, room service in place, large lawn outside the city wall, empty pastoral, waxy buildings, medieval walls, moss-covered stone roads, various exquisite sculptures and ornaments... Here we breathe the fresh air , taste the most authentic English afternoon tea and English breakfast, enjoy the life of the Taoyuan manor, comfortable and cozy. Very recommended

Guest UserTerrible attitude from the front desk staff. The clerk managed to mix up the rooms allocated to our party and then, rather arrogantly, blamed us for swapping rooms, when in reality I had to change rooms because the heater in the original room was not working.
I even apologised in case there had been any misunderstanding after a long journey, but instead of trying to resolve the situation professionally, she replied that she was also tired. To make matters worse, it later became clear that the confusion stemmed from the room allocation system itself, with room numbers being noted on a piece of paper with handwritten markings.
If it had not been for the other member of staff, who remained calm, understanding, and helpful throughout, I would have packed my belongings and left immediately.
This is simply not the right way to treat paying guests. Customer service should focus on resolving problems, not shifting blame. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression of what could otherwise have been a pleasant stay

Stayed on the top floor in a single room. Overall it was a great stay, but a few minor improvements would make the experience so much better.
One of the balcony doors had trapped condensation in between the double glazing, would be good if that was sorted out. The blind on the same door was damaged. There was a slightly weird smell in the room. A diffuser would probably sort that out. The remote controls for the tv’s were missing and the inside of microwave wasn’t cleaned properly. There was also no key for the balcony door so couldn’t lock it. I wasn’t really worried about it because the balcony isn’t accessible without someone spidermaning it up the outside walls.
However, the hotel is a lovely building in a pretty countryside area. The young woman on reception was lovely - give her a pay rise! Would probably stay again.

Guest UserOn arrival the reception staff were polite and helpful. This hotel is an excellent location for visiting the Hickstead showground.
The room was spacious and clean. Night time was quiet after 2300hrs but beforehand very noisy children running up and down the corridor and slamming their room door until late.
The night manager should have spoken to their parents.
However breakfast was good and the service was good overall.
Therefore I would use the Hotel again 👍

Jai KingstonLovely staff but very disapointed at no soft close on room doors so lots of loud banging from about 06.00 Hot water tap in the sink didn't work - video proof if needed - and loud commercial vehicles outside reversing til very late and early morning. The windows were truly filthy. Lastly, despite complimentary breakfast they can't cater for Gluten Free medical needs and I couldn't purchase alternative.

A really lovely hotel and country club which is tucked away in the beautiful countryside of West Sussex. The driveway is a wonderful welcome with all the purple rhododendrons in bloom. The decor of the entire hotel was contemporary mixed with tradition - loved it.
We had amazing service which made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a family room within the hotel with an amazing view of the golf course (9th tee) - it was perfect; beautiful interior, comfortable bed and pillows, fluffy towels, great balcony, tea/coffee and biscuits and lovely toiletries. It had a lovely country cosy feel to the room and the entirety of the hotel.
The service in the restaurant was brilliant and super friendly and the breakfast was superb - the perfect amount of choices. The view from restaurant was brilliant, the first tee!
We used the health club in particular the pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The changing rooms and showers were clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful as was the family cat 😊. The only slight down side was the swimming pool closed at 5:30pm for children.
The golf pros in the golf shop were super friendly and made us feel welcome.
We were pleasantly surprised how lovely this hotel was after booking very last minute, it was very reasonable and we would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
Highly recommended, thank you very much.

Guest UserI had booked a **King room with a bathtub** for one night. When I checked in, it was already very late—around 11 PM. **I had been traveling for over a month, so on my last night, I really needed a room with a bathtub to relax my body.**
However, when we arrived, the front desk guy gave us a **disabled-access room**, which, of course, had **no bathtub**. I thought about asking for a change, but I was **extremely tired**, and it was too late.
The next morning, I called the front desk to ask what had happened. The staff member said it was because they were **overbooked**. **She didn’t apologize and even seemed to blame me, saying I should have asked when I got the key.** She also claimed no other rooms were available at that moment.
I explained that when we took a shower in the disabled-access bathroom, **the water didn’t drain properly**—maybe something was clogged. This made it **dangerous because slipping was a real risk**. After listening, she called back **a minute later**, saying a room was now available and that I could come to the front desk to switch.
I felt **very disappointed** with the service and will **never return**
Also the kettle was very dirty.

Guest UserThis hotel isn't the one right next to the airport, but it's very easy to find, with a direct road leading right to it. It's a small but excellent airport express hotel. The beds are comfortable, not soft mattresses, and everything is clean. The soundproofing is decent. Simple meals are available.

Guest UserVery convenient location, with restaurants, supermarkets, and drugstores right outside. There are special round-trip train tickets to the city center. The larger room I booked had a great view. The front desk staff were friendly. Just be aware that as an eco-friendly hotel, they don't provide slippers or toiletries, so it's best to bring your own.
