We chose this hotel for a couple of reasons. Firstly it said it had a car park. Then two days before our stay, they emailed to say their car park was limited and we might have to park elsewhere. Limited is being nice - it has 8 car park spaces for the whole hotel. So it is highly likely you'll need to stay at the car park across the road with no gates and no security. We were supposed to get a discount as we were staying at the hotel but were told the discount wasn't working. Then the lifts weren't working so we had to carry out cases to the top floor! Having lugged our luggage up 15 flights of stairs (which were not nice and had rubbish in the stairwell), we found they had put us in a double and not a twin. My husband is 6ft 4 so we always book twin beds as we can't fit in a double...and this was a small double. They do not have a phone to ring reception so I had to go back down 15 flights of stairs to talk to reception. Even though they made the mistake, they acted like we were a real inconvenience but they did move us...to the twin room next door, which meant another 15 flight of stairs for me. Breakfast the next morning was crazy and they had run out of most things. They did bring out more but we had to wait about 20 minutes to even get cutlery. We were really unimpressed with the hotel. The staff weren't friendly or helpful, there were hardly any amenities and having to deal with the dirt and rubbish in the stairwell, the hotel did not feel clean. I would rather pay a little extra and stay somewhere much better.

My mother and I checked in to Jury's Hotel Swindon for what was to be a short two-day stay for a convention. Due to a medical emergency and then us both falling ill, our two day stay turned into a seven day one. Jury's became our home away from home and couldn't have been better. The staff were all extremely supportive and kind given our unfortunate situation. I didn't catch anyone's name, but I wanted to especially thank two members of staff who helped me with my mother when she fell very ill and needed to go to the emergency room. The two ladies went above and beyond their usual work duties without any hesitation. I owe them a huge debt of gratitude and I certainly hope their supervisors recognize the amazing staff they are so fortunate to have. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a great view of Swindon, which is a charming town. Especially old town Swindon, just up the street from the hotel. It's centrally located on many major bus lines and is a short walk from the bus station. The buffet breakfast was absolutely delicious, as was every meal we had from the restaurant. My only complaint is that the room did not have a mini-fridge or microwave, which would have been extremely convenient for us, but we were able to eat just fine between the food delivery apps available and the hotel restaurant. I wish every hotel was Jury's Inn Swindon caliber. Well done. 👏

We had a stopover in Swindon so that we could travel to Stonehenge for my wife’s birthday. I asked the hotel in advance to do something to mark the occasion, which they did very well. When we checked in, the room had balloons and happy birthday messages all around the room. Another thing that impressed me was the breakfast. I have just been to a Premier Inn hotel in London on business at the time of writing this review. While Premier Inn offers slightly more variety in their breakfast foods, the quality of food in this Holiday Inn Express is exceptional, light years ahead of Premier Inn. Well done, Holiday Inn Express Swindon West!

Such a great team, extremely friendly they have just refurbished the rooms and hotel The mocktails were amazing The food is extremely good, I actually invited my local friends down for Dinner and lunch and they were talking about it the next day which is always a good sign. I would definitely stay again the only thing I would say, is the beds/mattress are extremely firm. But everything else is perfect 👌

We needed an overnight to break our journey on the M4. This was ideal. Quick, friendly check-in with hot brealfast pre-ordered. Room and bed OK for what we paid (but would have liked two pillows and more tea bags.) Bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower good though lacking a grab rail over the bath. Breakfast buffet was well stocked and hot breakfast nicely cooked. Large well lit car park with CCTV. We would use this hotel again.

The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of light, medium-sized rooms The front desk service attitude is good, kind and polite The room is well soundproofed The hotel location is about 15-20 minutes walking distance from the train station. There are shops/convenience stores nearby

We had a family celebration and stay at the village Swindon and everything from booking in, to enjoying the room was great. The Function room was being prepared as we were having a look around and the staff could not have been more helpful . Through the evenings party the staff including Conor, Freya and Chelsea made us feel welcome and looked after and nothing was too much trouble. Well done the village.

A good place to stay except water pressure of shower still leaves much to be desired. Will like to come back and see if it gets improved in the future!

Needs attention as it is run down and not the lovely grand hotel you expect from the outside (how it used to be)and I appreciate this is a small city hotel but very expensive for a room without breakfast the decor is tatty and although it is a 100 % no smoking hotel the corridors near our room smelt of smoke Car parking was a nightmare with limited space ( all full) and because we arrived after 8p/m the multi storey was closed and the nearest car park was short stay only the very helpful lady in reception let us park in a staff area but you have to pay The room was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable Papers were said to be included in room price but you had to go to reception to pick one up and there were only independent papers no choice of any others There must have been a large party on as breakfast was laid up in the reception/foyer area which wasn’t very nice Such a shame this hotel needs some love really disappointed that Mercure have let it get so run down

FREEZING COLD. Window don't shut. And they haven't even put a extra heater in the room to help. The window has clearly been like that for a while. SORT IT OUT. Thanks..I had an awful night sleep and feel I want my money back tbh..

Excellent standards are once more to the fore at his charming hotel. This is a favourite loction for me to stay and at times thes standards have fallen short. Thankfully the hotel has once more risen to the top of the tree with excellent staff, no issues with any of the rooms used and quality, fine food delivered to all. The service was excellent throughout each sector of the hotel. I was very impressed with the breakfast, especially the hot food which has been poor on temperature in the past. The quality of all the breakfast food was superb, particularly the sausages and eggs. Furthermore the food throughout the hot buffet was hot, not luke warm as in so many hotels; here the food was hot on collection and stayed hot throughout. The restautant meals were also very good, the portion size was just right and the mains were tasty and succulent; the deserts delicious.

Beautiful and lovely surroundings. A lot to choose from for breakfast. Most of the staff are nice, but there is one guy who is not that nice very rude the way he talks and answering questions. There is two glass in the bathroom which is fine but if you request for a glass to drink in the room they will still bring you the same kind of glasses to you. I think they should have different shapes of glass for different purposes. Also some of their tea cups are too big and is not classy at all.

The manager was helpful and friendly l. He booked taxis for work and saved my food in the fridge for next day. Neat and warm place , very authentic and serene atmosphere in surroundings Worth the stay for a memorable experience .

I had previously booked a cricket court hotel and could not stay due to room restrictions. I temporarily rebooked this hotel. Although the cricket court hotel agreed to cancel, I still charged 80 pounds a day for my room. Houses from the past, designed very warm, the courtyard has characteristics, the rooms are comfortable, will stay again in the future

Everything was amazing, starting from the checin process, cleanliness, amenities in the room. Very close to Stonehenge and would definitely recommend to families.

We booked a room at the hotel and were given room 313 in the corner next to the fire escape on the 1st floor. The room itself was clean and tidy so no complaints there, my issues are that myself and my wife who are of an average build had too enter the room 1 at a time as it was a tight squeeze because of the queen size bed in the room, 2nd was we had too boil the kettle on the floor as there was no plug at the Tea and Coffee shelf in the room which was very unsafe and had the potential for an accident. 3rd there was no table for my wife to do her makeup or place her straighteners so they had to be on the floor and makeup done on bed. We don't ever complain but the money we paid for the room it should of had the essentials required. Yes people will say why didn't you change rooms, simple answer we paid the same as friends but didn't know until morning that there rooms were larger and more comfy.

think long and hard before booking this accommodation, firstly location is great as are the lady,s on reception. we were aloud to prebook the disabled parking onsite , which was good but there it ends. on arrival the manager gary was in reception and my wife and i ( she walks with a stick) checked in (we are in our late seventies) gary gave us room 404 ,small with sloping ceilings and small window that could not be fully opened, the ensuite was small with a loo you could just fit into, loo only flushed after several attempts and the room lock was of the same ilk, but the main concern was the storage of furniture and large blue bags of what looked like linen in a fire escape staircase, we had booked 2 nights but only stayed for one. gary when we spoke to him about these shortcomings said we did not request a disabled room(booking a disabled space assumes a person has a disability) and the other items were all working fine, so be warned if you have a disability and are nearly 80 you to might end up in a 4th floor room of the type we were given.

Arrived early Sunday 27th October fully expecting to be told that my room was not ready yet. Lady behind the bar soon had everything sorted out for me and I found I was in a Shepherds hut behind the pub. Never stayed in a Shepherds hut before so this was a new experience for me. Everything I needed in a room for the two nights I was staying was in the hut . The bed was warm and comfortable. The food I ordered on both nights was nice, well cooked and hot. The breakfast was buffet style and unlimited. Would I stay again? Yes I would. I have to come back again later in the year so will be booking here again

Stayed for one night, rented out four rooms for a reasonable price considering the location and quality. Staff was extremely kind, food was amazing, rooms were very cute and maintained the original vibe of the older building while having very modern bathrooms. Everything was in working order and it seemed like every small detail was thought of. Our rooms had working tvs, fans, and comfortable bedding and the bathrooms had heated towel racks and shower toiletries. The stay was overall very enjoyable and I would definitely come again. :)

We booked for a long weekend and certainly chose the right hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us, the food was lovely, we had breakfast every day and it was spot on, we eat two evening meals including a Sunday lunch and again we could not fault the staff or the food. I have already been recommending this hotel to friends and family, rooms lovely and clean and full of character. The only very slight issue was our room was facing the road and over the bar, so it was a little noisy at times, but this didn't spoil what was a lovely stay.

We had the pleasure of staying at Stonehenge Courtyard for two nights as a family of four. We had booked as we were attending a wedding at Syrencot House and this was a 8 minute drive away. We stayed in their Solstice room, which has a double bed and two singles, with a half wall separating the two spaces. We had additional family stay in the other two rooms, Sarsen and Sarum. When you arrive, you are given a private access code to open a gate, which leads you down a passage-way into a charming courtyard with outdoor seating. This is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sunshine, and as we had booked all three rooms in the space, it was a good spot to spend family time together in privacy over a cup of tea or a meal. Our room was at the end, and upon entry you are greeted with the two single beds on one side, and on the other is a small fridge and desk. As we opted for the continental breakfast the fridge was full of milk, cold water, apple and orange juice. It also had a box full of fresh berries and several yogurts. On the desk was a kettle, four mugs, four glasses, lots of tea and coffee and biscuits. In a bag was the rest of our breakfast items, which included pain au chocolates, a selection of muffins, bananas, porridge, flapjacks and I believe more biscuits. The breakfast variety was incredible and even with two hungry children, we couldn't finish it all. Moving further into the room, there is a wall protruding about halfway into the space which acts as a partition between the two single beds and the double, and has a full length mirror. On the other side was the double bed opposite a desk and chair, and above that a TV. The TV comes loaded with various channels, all you need to do is sign in with your own netflix/disney/etc accounts. Wi-fi was also available and very good, the password is in the handbook left of the desk. Also included in the desk is a hair dryer and an iron. The ironing board could be found next to the double bed in a small space that served as an open wardrobe to hang up clothes. The beds themselves were very comfy and absolutely massive, you can share the double and have to stretch to touch each other! The pillows are plump and comfy, although I only needed one. Next to the double beds was the door to our bathroom, which was absolutely massive. Boasting a walk in shower which included shampoo/bodywash and conditioner, and enjoying a sky light, this bathroom felt light, clean and airy with plenty of space to get fully ready for the day in private. (which is important if you're sharing with 3 other people, one of whom is a pre-teen!) While Stonehenge courtyard doesn't have it's own parking, there really is no need with so many places to park near by. There is on street parking directly outside after 6pm and before 8am, and the town centre parking, a 2 minute walk away, is only £5.50 for the day and you can pay online, so you don't even need to leave your bed if you're enjoying a lie in. While we weren't visiting

The hotel gives a pleasant surprise. Whether it's room facilities, comfort or location, it's great. Family hotel, the enthusiastic lady at the front desk is the boss. Very kind and enthusiastic. Help me book a taxi and ask me for all kinds of information. Very lucky to choose this hotel. highly recommended!
