This hotel was simply perfect, very satisfactory service attitude, very spectacular environment surrounded by rocks, and free shuttle to Maraya for photos, good food, however a bit expensive, campfire stargazing outside the room in the evening, perfect!
Thanks to Lina in front desk for the amazing welcoming.
All was good except the iftar and suhor buffet, the tase of nearly all main courses was horrible. There was no one attending us at the table, we had to chase out our cutlery every time. Every time we left the table to go get more food they removed all our dishes and cutlery and drinks! Even though we left the key card on the table and the dishes still had food. Salad and appetizers bar was empty for long time with no refills! Even though the chefs were standing there chatting with the manager. There are no bowls where we needed them next to umm ali dish.
For the above service, variety and quality of food the cost was high and unjustified.
The environment is excellent, a very unique experience. The room is suitable for one person or a couple, not suitable for a family. All the hotel staff are very polite and enthusiastic, and the requests made can be responded to in a timely manner. In addition, the breakfast is great! The only problem is that you need to download what's up to contact the hotel service when checking in, but for some reason the phone cannot receive the verification SMS, but the hotel front desk provides a phone and a private number, so you can contact them at any time.
It's just a rural version of Banyan Tree. It's not worth the money. The mini bar is charged for such an expensive price. When I asked her if it wasn't free, she told me that nothing is free in this world. The room is very small. The bathroom is made of glass and you can see outside. There is no heating. The shower water is hot and cold. It's also cold when you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I asked for a thick robe for the sound bath, but it was not delivered to me after several hours. I was so cold lying on the floor. There was no Arabic coffee for breakfast. You can only order two kinds, but each one is very large.
It is considered a better hotel in Yanbu. Except for the fact that it is slightly humid at night near the sea, everything else is okay. The apple juice for breakfast is better than other hotels.
Had a wonderful stay in Madinah. Just a few steps to the Masjid Nabawi. The location is perfect. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good, wide selection. Would definitely come here again.
We booked an executive king room with full Nabawi Mosque view and were granted accordingly plus the access to Executive Lounge on 14th floor. We have paid full, a year in advance. It was our second stay in Movenpick during Ramadan. We were in this hotel for 18 days in 2024. This year, we stayed for 8 days.
The executive lounge proviided light snacks for Iftar from Magrib to Isyak. The light snacks are also provided after terawih prayers until 2 am..Our room is spacious and very comfortable. We love our stay so much. If one area need to be improved, we suggest better food to be served during Sahoor. We found that everytime fish and prawn were served, the smell of the seafood is still obvious. Please wash them properly and InshaAllah, the food will smell and taste better. Secondly, the rice briyani or similar when served, only bones are left, as if the rice is a leftover from Iftar food. Apart from the food, the rest is excellent, hotel reception access is direct to main road, great for DIY travellers to get taxi/ Uber, many lifts and Bin Dawood supermarket is right below and within the hotel building. Thank you for all the hospitality..Regards.
The hotel did not have a tourist map or guide to Alula, and self-driving was difficult:
1. I didn't know how to get to Hegra, North gate? South gate? Navigation was difficult. Later I learned that 375...9200...70
2. There were no business hours for the attractions. I arrived at Elephant Rock at 13:00 and it said it would open at 16:00. I arrived at Hegra at 15:40 and it was closed.
International hotels have tourist brochures and maps, etc. Tour groups are fine, but independent travel is difficult. I hope this will be improved.

AAbrar2483One of the best hotels near Masjid Al Nabawi! The staff are incredible! From the moment I arrived, Hassan from concierge assisted me with my bags and the staff at the reception were very friendly and they not only allowed me to check-in early but also upgraded my room with a partial Haram View! All the staff spoke English perfectly. The rooms are nice and spacious with modern furniture and the amenities provided in the room are perfect from bathrobes to multiple kits! The room was relatively clean however I’ve notice multiple finger prints on the refrigerator door as well as the bathroom door which shows those 2 areas weren’t wiped after the previous guests had left. The shower was perfect with nice hot water and the bathroom was spacious enough.
The hotel has 2 towers and we didn’t know which tower to go to so we ended up going to tower 1 were the receptionist informed us that our booking is in tower 2. I had an elderly guest with me and moving towers like this was very inconvenient. The hotel should inform the guests about the tower number and parking instructions before arriving at the hotel.
The hotel is very close to the Haram with just 6-7 minutes walk to both the men’s and the women’s entrance (door 11 and 12). Upon returning to the hotel, the staff were promptly situated outside the elevator doors assisting guests with the elevators.
About the breakfast. It was fantastic! The options available were great and included selections of
cold appetizers, bakery items, main courses including french toast and pancakes. The breakfast staff were very friendly and efficient and they never said no, especially Riaz he served us coffee and hot chocolate. The items were being refilled quickly. The 2 ladies welcomed us for breakfast with a huge smile.
Suggestions to improve breakfast:
1) there was no live cooking counter for omelette. The omlette was being cooked in the kitchen and was being stocked in the hot plate. It would be great if the hotel could consider introducing live counter for omelette as it really would help us guests to make the perfect omelette for ourselves and eating it warm and fresh. Other hotels do have a live counter.
2) Though all the breakfast items were great, the French toast wasn’t good at all! It didn’t taste like a French toast. The sambosas were undercooked and very chewy so wasn’t able to eat them. Improvements on this will make the breakfast experience perfect!
One more thing to add is that the staff not once said “No”. They always accommodated our requests whatsoever. I asked the reception for a plastic chair for my elderly mother to sit and take a shower, thought they didn’t have it, they offered us to switch to an accessible room with no additional costs!
The hotel is not very busy and crowded as I didn’t see any groups here. I hope the hotel can maintain this very same standard or else it’ll be very easy to be like the other hotels who don’t care about guests.
All in all, I’ll definitely choose Al Manakha Rotana again on my next trip to Madinah and wishing this hotel success!
GGuest UserPilih hotel ni sebab lokasi. Cumanya susah nak dapat hotel ni sebab cepat sold out. Haritu masa check in receptionist surprisingly ramah, which was a bit odd sebab customer service kat Saudi ni takda lah beriya sangat ramah. Check in macam biasa lepas Asar. Hotel memang sangat2 busy so jarang sangat2 akan dapat early check in. Easily accessible untuk yang pakai wheelchair. Lif banyak. Walaupun orang ramai tapi ok sebab lif banyak. Overall akan stay sini lagi inshaallah.

GGuest UserThe hotel’s location near the Prophet’s Mosque is excellent, making it convenient for visitors. However, the overall experience was disappointing. Rooms felt outdated, cleanliness was lacking, and staff were slow to respond to requests. Parking is free .While the location is a big plus, the service and facilities need significant improvement.
KKendana TamizThe hotel staff is great, I lost my key (card room) in Masjid Nabawi and they didnt even charge me with anything.
We can also put the luggage after check out in the safe place.
The building is older, but functional.
We dont have to wait for the lift because there are 6 lifts for the building alone.
I’m shocked that the shampoo and soap is from Brooklyn, which I’ve visited New York in May but no time to visit Apotheke 😩
Near gate of Masjid Nabawi from the hotel is 365.
You can choose this hotel instead of Pullman Zamzam if you have strict budget like us.
Because the location is not that far from gate 365.
This gate is near Rawdah.
Ps: I take this photo right before check out. Sorry for the mess

FFAISAL AMIRThis hotel was supposed to be 3.5 kilometres in a straight line to Masjid Al nabawi but due to road works we ended up travelling 9 km each way.
The hotel itself is a converted apartment building that turned into Suites probably because the owner couldn't sell the apartments due to the area not close to any business centres or shopping malls.
Prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly and communication is great
No USB charging ports provided anywhere including lounge or bedrooms.
No towels or any cleaning supplies provided to keep this little apartment clean.
Bathroom floors were extremely slippery to the level I would call dangerous.
Bathroom fittings, kitchen ,bedrooms and all furniture in living area also large and comfortable , but we booked for six beds they only provided us 5 beds plus a thin single mattress , which was a great disappointment.
But for us, the biggest drawback was that it's too far from Masjid Al nabawi and not suitable even at low prices.
I would recommend paying more to be closer to Masjid Al nabawi there are plenty of options within 15-20 minutes walk at good price, but if your reason to stay in Madina is not Masjid Al nabawi, then this hotel suite is okay, just consider all the notes I made above.
HHairi RazakThis Hotel near to Masjid Quba, Masjid Bilal.
This Hotel is on the west side of Masjid Nabawi.
Walking distance to Masjid Nabawi.
Walking distance to Chef Market.
Not recommended if you planning walking with stroller or wheelchair.
Group of friends or DIY Umrah, recommended.
Aram Hotel provided us a sharing washing machine for your own laundry.
