The response from the front desk was very good. It was also generally clean. I was on the top bunk of a bunk bed, but I couldn't find an outlet near my bed, so I couldn't charge my phone while sleeping (I didn't). I used a female-only dormitory, but the door lock was difficult to lock, and I felt like I could get in without the electronic key if I accidentally locked it. Although I made the reservation the day before, I was very satisfied with the price and the staff's atmosphere.

Pro Beautiful hotel, beautiful room, very high standard service by the staff clearly well trained in hospitality service. Staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. Shout out to Victoria who welcomed us upon our arrival and made our check in process a pleasure. She even let us in earlier than usual check in time as our room were ready early. Vey comfortable bed, nice ambient lighting. Good space with sofa and a few small table. Perfect location in the Central station on the first and second floor, so you can just jump from the hotel corridor to be on the ground floor (seriously, don't do this, just take the lift or escalator like a normal sane person:)) Not noisy at all in my room despite next to the train stop. Very well design sound proof room. Breakfast buffet was amazing, good rang of options even for someone like my family that only eat Halal food - various vegetarians and eggs suitable food. Luggage storage free of charge before check in or after checking out to help you enjoy Gothenburg without the need to carry your extra tonne of luggages. Sauna and gym are also available for the customers. Cons None really, for the price tag I think the hotel is perfect.

Nice, comfortable, and clean room. There's a living area and a table for breakfast/meals. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the bathroom is quite spacious. The bed is loft-style (but with a low ceiling). Good Wi-Fi, TV, and Netflix are provided. It's close to a bus stop (400m) and about 5 minutes from the city center. I highly recommend it!

Very convenient to train station . Also, walking distance to tram stops if you want to navigate around city , like Hag old town. Very helpful front desk staffs ( both shifts)

Well everything besides our check out experience was great. Really great! Then when checking out, we had 3 interactions with the reception about checking out prior to checking out. and only the one at 12:30 (when checking out with luggage and all), we were told to pay a 200SEK late-fee, which I was then told could’ve been even higher and that I should be thankful they didn’t charge me double… Not nice - and we had 3 interactions prior to this for this exact reason. I wanted to work out first and then shower in the room before leaving. If we were told the first time about the late check out fee; we would’ve checked out then and there. I complained about this practice, to deaf ears. Not coming back despite it being very nice and perfect for a Liseberg weekend with the family

It felt like we had the best of both worlds: calm evenings by the water, and the city’s energy just a short ride away. Beautiful Skyline and Water Views From the hotel, the view stretched across the skyline and the water, and it was just lovely. Whether it was morning light reflecting off the buildings or the soft glow in the evenings, those views gave the place a special atmosphere that I won’t forget. A Studio Room That Feels Like Home Our studio room came with a small kitchenette, and I can’t stress enough how handy that was. For a longer stay, being able to cook a simple meal or make a late tea added such a homely touch. The room itself felt modern and cozy, just right for settling in without feeling cramped. A Breakfast with Heart Breakfast was always a cheerful way to start the day, not just because of the food but because of the people. The breakfast chef, a lovely lady with beautiful red hair, had the warmest presence. She greeted everyone with such kindness that it set the tone for the rest of the day. Looking back, what made Clarion Hotel The Pier memorable wasn’t just the location or the facilities—it was the sense of care woven through the stay. Between the quiet setting, the beautiful views, the comfort of the room, and those daily warm greetings (especially at breakfast), the hotel managed to feel both professional and genuinely personal.

I visited Sweden for a business trip to Chalmers University and stayed at this hotel. I arrived at 11 a.m., so I tried to leave my luggage, but I was able to check in in the morning. The staff were all friendly and well equipped with amenities such as gym, washing machine, breakfast buffet and restaurant. It was a little unfortunate that the breakfast menu did not change during my stay for about a week, but the taste was good. The surroundings of the hotel were quiet, and it was quiet, and the center came out on foot for 15 to 20 minutes. I would like to stay at the same hostel even if I come back for business trip next time.

It's a very good homestay. It's a 5-minute walk from the tram station, and the service attitude is very good. I will come back.

Too bad that if you don't ask they won't clean your room, it should be automatic and not on request, excellent breakfast and the waiters are all very kind and professional
