"The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the pier. Contrary to some rumors, there was no excessive motor noise in the morning or air pollution. The environment was comfortable; although the room was a bit small, it was very clean. Overall, the service was good with daily cleaning, though the staff seemed a bit short-handed during check-in and check-out times. The breakfast was plentiful, offering a buffet along with freshly made coffee and stir-fried noodles. The hotel also provides a free airport shuttle, which was punctual and convenient. Highly recommended!"

"This resort is nestled in the mountains, a bit far from the city center, but you can easily get a Grab motorbike. If you're staying here, I'd recommend eating at the resort (the food is actually quite good). I really want to highlight the environment! It's incredibly comfortable and perfect for a relaxing, 'lie-flat' vacation! ☺️ And the staff's service attitude is super good, friendly, and enthusiastic ❤️ The drinks in the mini-fridge are all complimentary, too. I chose a suite with a balcony, which was perfect for just sitting, zoning out, enjoying the breeze, and taking in the scenery. The pool is also very clean! This has been my favorite place so far during my entire trip in Indonesia. One thing to note might be that because it's in the mountains, you might encounter some bugs, and sometimes the tap water can be a bit yellow. Other than that, it's pretty much perfect!"

"A Beautiful Stay with Amazing Sunset Views 🌅 I had a really pleasant stay at Loccal Collection Hotel, Labuan Bajo. The hotel has a beautiful Santorini-inspired design, with white buildings built along the hillside and stunning views overlooking the harbour. The highlight for me was definitely the sunset view from the pool area. It is one of those places where you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery after a day exploring Labuan Bajo and Komodo National Park. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, while the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast also had a good variety of choices. The location is convenient for exploring Labuan Bajo, although the hotel is situated slightly uphill, so getting around is easier by scooter or car. Overall, Loccal Collection is a great choice if you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing and Instagram-worthy hotel with spectacular views. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended for a stay in Labuan Bajo!"

"The view from the room was pretty good. The room facilities were quite basic, but that's acceptable for an island in Komodo, and it was good value for money. It was also clean and tidy. My only minor complaint is that I couldn't change the shower filter, so I wasn't sure about the water quality."

"Let's start with the positives: 1. Out of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip to Indonesia and Kuala Lumpur, this was the only one where we weren't bothered by noise. 2. The location is good, just a 10-minute walk to the center of the main street. 3. The hotel staff provided prompt and attentive service. Now for the negatives: 1. Hot water, hot water, hot water! It's practically non-existent. You get maybe 1-2 minutes of lukewarm water at best, and even then, it's not hot enough. 2. The towels and bath towels seem to be a common issue in the area – they all look rather dingy. 3. Avoid the hotel's upstairs restaurant. The food is not good, some dishes are incredibly salty, and the fried items are unappetizing. It's also quite expensive for the area and really not worth it. Just go up there to take some photos if you want."

"This hotel wasn’t the most expensive one I’ve booked, yet it delivered the best experience by far. Perched on a cliff, it is fully equipped with complete facilities and surrounded by stunning scenery. The hotel’s bougainvillea blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. You can witness four distinct breathtaking views throughout the day — morning, noon, afternoon and sunset, with the sunset being exceptionally gorgeous and perfect for photos. The hotel staff are incredibly warm; they are the most thoughtful and friendly service workers I encountered during my entire trip across Indonesia. All the hotel restaurants serve fantastic food. The main restaurant offers Asian, Italian and even Chinese cuisine, which suits the taste of our Chinese family perfectly. The Kiks Seafood Restaurant in the evening stands out especially, serving the most delicious grilled seafood I have ever tasted. Compared with Ayana in Bali, the service here is superior. The staff are more welcoming and always wear smiles, making me feel right at home. There are never too many guests, so it never feels crowded. Whether you are dining, relaxing on a lounge chair, playing in the swimming pool, wandering along wooden boardwalks, joining sunset tours or enjoying sea activities, everything feels comfortable, free and laid-back the entire time. This is what a real vacation ought to be like. I don’t even need to travel elsewhere; spending five or six days staying inside this hotel would be absolutely perfect. The hotel also provides a full range of recreational activities. We only stayed for two days and left wishing we could stay longer. The housekeeping staff folded adorable monkey and animal shapes out of towels for us. Without a doubt, this is the most wonderful hotel I have ever stayed in, and the only one I’m eager to revisit. Thank you so much to everyone here, and I will be back again."

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, just about a ten-minute drive from the airport, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The room design allows you to enjoy the ocean view right from your bed, and the water is incredibly clear – you can even spot fish swimming from the 10th-floor balcony. We had two bookings, totaling five days and four nights here, and every moment, from the first light of dawn to bright sunshine, from dusk to a sky full of stars, we were mesmerized by the stunning beauty. 🥰🥰🥰 The staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. They'd greet me in the hallways, and the staff at the entrance and in the restaurant would chat with me daily, asking if I'd rested well and what my plans for the day were, which I found particularly heartwarming. As a solo female traveler, safety is paramount, and I truly felt like they genuinely cared about me, always ready to welcome me back, which made me feel very secure when I went out. The two restaurants on the hotel's 2nd and 8th floors offered almost all common dishes, and they were both healthy and delicious. I didn't eat out at all during my five days there. I especially want to mention the 'Six Views in One Day' tour. I really dislike joining tours with fellow countrymen, as I believe traveling is about meeting interesting people and experiencing interesting things from all over the world. So, I didn't book through the popular apps we usually use. Instead, I emailed the hotel in advance and booked their 'Black Swan Adventure'. There were 11 of us in total: a Norwegian couple, an Australian couple, a French family of three, three sisters from Asia, and then me, the lone 11th person! 😄😄😄 I had a wonderful chat with the guide, and I'm especially grateful to him for taking so many fantastic photos for me. ❤️❤️❤️ And the staff member who guided me with a swim ring – with my limited swimming skills, I would definitely have been swept away by the waves if I'd tried to paddle alone. He even used my phone to dive to the bottom and take photos of a sea turtle. At the end of the trip, someone mentioned wanting to Airdrop, but there were many videos (which might have been pressed out by water pressure through the waterproof bag), and the one I opened, thinking it was it, turned out to be nothing. So I'll just include it in this review, in case they see it. Overall, it was a very nice and unforgettable trip! If I ever get the chance to visit Komodo again, I will definitely choose Katamaran! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻"

"Located north of Bajau city, this hotel is a bit out of the way, but the views are absolutely stunning – perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset. The balcony offers sea views, and the rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable! The balcony itself is a highlight, with both pool and sea views. It's most convenient if you're driving or have a chartered car, as it's about a 15-minute drive to Bajau center. Nearby Sylvia Hill is a local favorite for sunset viewing, and it's truly breathtaking! When we went out to sea early the next morning, the hotel even prepared an incredibly generous breakfast box for us. The restaurant also boasts amazing 180-degree sea views and a fantastic location. For just over 600 a night, the value for money is exceptional. Highly recommend staying here if you have a car or chartered transport! Drone footage from the hotel balcony is absolutely incredible!!"

"Overall, it was good. It was relatively new and very clean. After checking out, I saw that the cleaning staff had even wiped the balcony door clean. The staff were also very friendly, proactively asking if I needed any help. The only drawback was the inconvenience of finding places to eat. Their chef's cooking was really bad, and even the drinks were unpleasant to me. Aside from the food, everything else was quite good."

"I really regret not discovering this hotel sooner! The hotel has a very quiet, Southeast Asian vibe. The service is also much better than hotels near the main tourist street. They offer yoga classes, morning Zumba on the beach, and even a diving club. I stayed at three different hotels in Labuan Bajo, and if I come back, this will be my top choice. The only thing to watch out for is mosquitoes in the room, but the front desk will provide mosquito coils if you ask."
