It was not even noon when we arrived at the hotel, and the beautiful staff at the front desk let us check in directly, which was a big surprise. The second floor of the hotel is directly connected to the mall. I hadn't been out for a few days and was right next to the mall and the hotel, which was super convenient. The room was clean and tidy, unlike many old American hotels, it was very new. Minnesota Nice really experienced it đ
Excellent service. Great experience! Enjoyed every moment of my time. Weight room is sufficient for a good work-out. It says there is an airport shuttle bus, but there isnât, so that needs to be fixed on the site.
I highly recommend the hotel.
Early check-in was from 9am, which was great for early morning flights.
It was in the heart of downtown, so it was great that you could walk to the NBA stadium.
Breakfast was included, but the selection was limited compared to a Japanese buffet.
However, there was a grill to toast bread, and fruit too, which was great.
The room was spacious and had two TVs, which was great.
The only disappointment was that on the day we stayed there, there were a lot of children staying for sports-related activities, so we could hear their footsteps from the surrounding rooms, which was annoying at night.
Reception not in ground floor lobby, but on second floor. âFront doorâ not readily evident. Parking available according to Website, it is in adjacent parking ramp and a separate fee. Room spacious, well appointed with many electrical outlets, TV, telephone, couch, small but adequate closet. Bathroom, nicely lighted, very functional shower, toiletry amenities, good towels and cloths. Window view over parking ramp and city in distance.
The shuttle bus runs from the hotel shuttle bus (gold) at T1 between the hotel and the airport almost every 30 minutes all day long. It is a purple and white van with a name written on it, so it is easy to find. (Don't confuse it with a similar name.)
The hotel is very clean and the reception staff are very friendly.
The bar on the first floor of the hotel is particularly affordable and delicious. I didn't get a meal because I was up early in the morning, but I recommend it if you can take your time.
There is a park right in front of the hotel, and on the Sunday I stayed there, a music festival was taking place, and the atmosphere was bright and fun.

Absolutely wonderful. I am super picky and my friends all stayed at other hotels in for a wedding. I was last minute and didnât like what I had seen in the other hotels my friends were at so I walked down to check out this one and I was so happy I did! Love love love it. Clean and cozy and felt like an adults on the interior furnishings. Other hotels have cheap furniture and feel like dorm rooms. I was really have with this choice all the way around!!! I will definitely be back and canât wait for their new spa to open!! Staff was great too and hotel was decorated lovely for Christmas! Great price also!

GGuest UserIt was very clean and staff was amazing at helping us out.
BBruce BerggrenI booked 2 rooms, 4 nights via trips.com and 1 night via a credit card portal. We normally book direct with the hotel but it the 3rd party sites offered lower costs.
Neither third party booking site disclosed a $3 parking fee at the time of booking. Looking at the hotel website, I also do not see a parking fee disclosure. Mankato is a relatively small town, and the location is not busy enough to justify a parking fee; charging it as a surprise/undisclosed fees (resort, parking, etc) is a dishonest practice you should abandon if you want repeat business.
We were generally happy with the housekeeping, beds and room features. Issues with the TV signal and room keys were resolved by the staff in a timely manner.
I chose Fairfield based on past good experience with Mariott/Residence Inn/Fairfield breakfasts in other cities. We appreciate access to a basic breakfast, and were pleased with the coffee, fruit, and bagels. However the quality of the main course (instant scrambled eggs and so-called âomelettesâ) was disappointing. Yogurts were exclusively fat-free (chalky taste) in a padlocked at 9am sharp. Sausage patties (frozen/warmed) were in short supply and also not appetizing. For the room rate we paid, we hoped for a better breakfast.
GGuest UserThe hotel service is warm, clean and tidy, the room is warm and spacious, the hotel is in a good location, the room cleaning staff is also very kind, the front desk sister is also very warm, the price of the room is also very affordable, cost-effective! I got more than one comfortable and pleasant stay, and there were fireworks on the earth. This is my evaluation of this hotel.
RRochelle Johnson-BentGreat location and amenities. The staff were always quick and available to answer any questions or provide items needed. The room was clean and had everything we expected. Towels, bed, room and all-around hotel smelled clean. Thereâs always someone cleaning around the hotel. They also had plenty of staff to address different needs, which is impressive given so many business struggling to keep staff. My only issue was too much chlorine in the pool made it really hard to breathe (maybe they need better air circulation) and it burned everyoneâs eyes.Â
Also, luckily I read the reviews online so I knew to expect the parking fee. But it wasnât noted on the booking page or website when I looked. But for the rate/deal we got on the room, the parking fee wasnât a big deal. We came in pretty late each night and was able to find parking, but it was limited so I see what people meant in the reviews. I would definitely stay here again!! Oh and the breakfast was nice and hot and very clean. Plus, lots of options.Â
Also Outback is right next door, (walk across the lot) for nearby restaurant option.
AAnonymous UserA hotel with a high cost-effectiveness ratio. There is an airport shuttle and free parking. Although the breakfast is simple, it can guarantee nutrition. The front desk staff is also very enthusiastic. The hygiene is very good and it is very quiet.
DdingjiwenThe hotel is ideally located right in the city center, felt very safe, and offers on-site parking. The rooms were good, and the facilities are excellent. Highly recommended.
GGuest UserGot into an argument with one of Indian guys I told him my key card isn't working anymore and I need it reactivated he was like can I see your id I said my id is in my hotel room he said sorry there's nothing I can do I showed him my receipt in my email saying I booked for 3 days showed him I paid $177.50 I argued with this man for about 10 minutes then he rolled his eyes and was like **** it with some attitude and activated my keycard to my room I then went up stairs grabbed my id and went downstairs and threw it in his face . The place is a dump will never stay there again.
GGuest UserMy boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Cambria hotel. He went to conference in downtown St. Paul while I checked out the Twin Cities. Location is excellent. My boyfriend easily took the #54 bus into St. Paul using the bus stop right next to the hotel. I checked out the MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge (a 3 min drive away) and the Mall of America / IKEA (free hotel shuttle which was super easy to use) in addition to other sites that I drove to (hotel offers free parking with plenty of open spaces). The free morning coffee in the lobby was delicious and strong. While breakfast was not free, the hotel room has a microwave and mini-fridge for us to make our own breakfast (oatmeal, bagels, yogurt, etc.) and keep cold soda/beer in our room. I also enjoyed their swimming pool. The water is cool but good for doing laps. Finally, we enjoyed their spacious, clean, and modern rooms. Thank you, Cambria!
