Snow Village truly lives up to its reputation! The 5-hour drive from Harbin was definitely worth it. Honestly, before booking accommodation in Snow Village, I was completely lost. There were so many hotels and guesthouses, and I had no idea which one to choose. Considering safety and comfort, we opted for a hotel called 'Xue Zhi Xiao Zhu'. What surprised me was the five-star concierge service offered by this small hotel in such a 'small place' as Snow Village. After booking and paying through Ctrip, I immediately received a call from the hotel. They added me on WeChat and provided a full itinerary explanation and recommended routes, right up until our arrival when they helped with our luggage and guided us. This hotel is incredibly clean, and they even offer thoughtful local specialties as gifts. The food was also delicious (we tried other places, and this hotel's food was definitely tastier and reasonably priced). On our way back, the young owner enthusiastically pulled our luggage on a sled for us and dropped us off at the boarding point before leaving (he wasn't even wearing gloves in -27-degree weather – very touching). There are so many other details I won't go into one by one, but you truly get what you pay for. A business that genuinely cares for its customers is trustworthy and highly recommended. I chose the Wanda Realm Qiqihar, expecting a five-star experience. My reasons for picking a 5-star hotel are usually for a rich breakfast, excellent service, and complete facilities. However, this stay left me very disappointed. First, there was no space in the hotel's ground parking lot. A staff member directed me to the underground parking, explaining that hotel guests could get free parking if the front desk handled it. When I checked in, I mentioned I'd parked underground and asked them to sort it out. The two girls at the front desk said the underground parking was paid. I explained that there was no space above ground and the security guard told me to park in underground section M, assuring me that hotel guests could park for free. They exchanged glances and then said they would 'apply' for free parking for me. This already put me off – if I hadn't pressed the issue, would I have been tricked into paying for parking? After checking in, I went to my room. I had booked a family room, but when I entered, I only saw one large bed. I had to go back downstairs to the front desk. They explained that they didn't know how old my children were, so they hadn't made up the extra bed, and then sent someone to do it. The next day at breakfast, the whole rhythm of the restaurant's service felt off. Many serving dishes were empty, but it took a long time for food to be refilled. The watermelon platter was almost empty when I arrived, and they only brought out a fresh plate when I was nearly finished eating. All in all, it was a very disappointing stay. I won't be choosing Wanda Hotels again in the future.

Points for Foreign Families to Note: Language Barrier: The staff were very kind and helpful, but did not speak English. They managed communication using translation apps, which was fine but required patience. Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was entirely Chinese-style (congee, egg, steamed buns, pickles). Amenities: Don't expect extra facilities like a gym or pool. It's a place to sleep and clean up, not a resort. Local Focus: The inn is clearly geared toward domestic travelers, so room decor is simple and functional. Overall: This inn is an excellent, economical choice if you prioritize a clean room and good value. We were comfortable and would use it again for a budget trip

I absolutely have to give this hotel a five-star review! The location is excellent, right next to a commercial area and a subway station, and taxis are easy to find, making transportation a breeze. The facilities are well-maintained; the air conditioning heats up quickly, there's plenty of hot water, and the toiletries are of good quality. For breakfast, the menu changes daily, offering a balanced and nutritious spread that even includes local specialty snacks. But what truly impressed me was the service. From the thoughtful guidance during check-in to proactively helping with my travel plans, the staff were professional and genuinely warm, making my trip exceptionally smooth. It's definitely worth repeat visits!

It was great. The owner is so helpful with all the bookings. The inn is located at the end of the road. A bit of distance from the main road. However it is usually full or almost full and I wonder why? So one reason is the helpful owner. Secondly the cooks there can whip up delicious dishes. Thirdly, one difference between this inn and others is that it has a large area in front of the inn. So if you have kids, they will appreciate the large area during winter. I love the big swing in front of the property. Looking at the stars while swinging under the stars. It is a nice place to stay but be prepared by how the North East people live and sleep.

The B&B owner was incredibly hospitable, the rooms were warm and spotless, and the Northeastern-style stewed fish was delicious. The beautiful snowscapes were visible everywhere, and Dog Bear Mountain was exciting and fun. It's definitely worth a visit! In the evenings, the lobby was filled with travelers from all over the world, chatting happily with the owner (who, by the way, used a translator to communicate with foreign guests, so cool!). He's super popular with international visitors; even a Malaysian tourist mentioned that this B&B is famous in their country. The owner even accompanied us to Dog Bear Mountain for free and offered drone photography. The emotional value was immense, highly recommended!

The hotel was clean and tidy. I stayed here for three days and had a new, unique experience each day. Harbin in winter is truly romantic, offering a feeling that no other city can. I think everyone can relate to this: when you're happy with your accommodation, you naturally have a better time exploring. Their butler service was incredibly attentive, showing genuine care both before and after check-in. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the room was kept very clean. Five stars for them!

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was excellent – right off the Yangmingtan Bridge. Free parking was a big plus, and there were plenty of spaces. Downstairs, you could find all sorts of restaurants and supermarkets, and food delivery came right to the door. You could even see the Yangmingtan Bridge directly from the room. It had a fridge, washing machine, and induction cooker. The disposable toilet seat covers and disposable towels/bath sheets were a nice touch! And the best part: it's pet-friendly! Pet-friendly! Pet-friendly!

We booked two rooms for a family trip. The front desk lady was very nice and gentle. The security uncle was very reliable. It was very convenient to eat and play around. The facilities are old-fashioned European style. It's not too old now. It's just that the toilet is a bit old-fashioned. But it doesn't matter. Some people may not be willing to use smart ones. The hotel and the room are very clean and quiet. It's easy to find, with a pedestrian street and an underground shopping mall at the door. The surrounding facilities are complete. There is also a night market nearby, you can search it. There is also a zoo and an amusement park. I must eat Qiqihar barbecue, which is really fresh meat. It's delicious. We just go to other cities, otherwise I really want to bring some meat back. It looks very beautiful and has patterns, not fishy at all. In this city, most people I met are very good anyway. Everyone can rest assured to play, just ask if you don't understand. No one will cheat you. But still pay attention to safety. There should be a good hot spring, but we didn't have time to go there. I will come back to make up for it when I have the opportunity in the future. Found a gem of a hotel in Yabuli! They provide all the necessary amenities, and the heating works wonderfully. That window view absolutely blew me away! ❄️ The service was outstanding. There are many shops around here, and they all offer free pick-up and drop-off. On this side of the mountain, there's also a laundry room, a children's play area, a gym, and a bar. The mountain restaurant serves delicious Northeast Chinese cuisine at great prices, and the portions are huge! You won't have to worry about boredom at night – you can just head over for a drink.
