Pet Friendly Hotels in Shanxi, China

Two nights at Laochengenguan was absolutely fantastic! First, it was spotless and well-equipped. Second, the breakfast was abundant and delicious, even coming with fruit. Third, the service was truly top-notch; their patience made us feel right at home! (I booked two nights, but needed to switch rooms in between, which shows how popular this place is. However, on the morning of the second day, we were rushing to Hengshan Hanging Temple and completely forgot about the room change. The owner actually called to check if we’d like to move, as the new room was already cleaned. Of course, we happily agreed! This way, it didn't disrupt our sightseeing, and we could rest as soon as we returned! A big thank you to the owner once again! Staying at Laochengenguan is perfect for visiting attractions and shopping.

The stay was amazing!! The service impecable, location superb and lovely room! The Inn is located on a very central road close to the gate to the ancient city. Even though its very central, the rooms are in a back garden so its very peacefull and quiet. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable! They even have a small terrace with view of the skyline! But the best part was the service! The person working at the teception supported us with anything we asked, it felt like a piece of authentic chinese hospitality! I can only recommend this beautiful Inn to anyone visiting Pingyao!

When I came to Yuncheng for tourism, I originally wanted to choose an old hotel, but I was worried that the facilities would be old, so I wanted to stay in a newer hotel. Because the hotel had no rooms on May Day, we split the holiday into two parts and stayed in this hotel in the second half. Now I think about it, I am still very fortunate. This hotel does have new facilities, but it feels like there is really no service. On the day of check-in, I found that the minibar was empty and there was no welcome fruit. I asked the front desk if there was a room delivery service. The first reaction of the front desk was that there would be a service charge for room delivery. When we replied that we could add a service charge, we were given a phone call, but there was still no room delivery service. I asked the hotel for a buckwheat pillow, but the pillow that only contained a small layer of buckwheat on the pillow surface was delivered. Is a 100% buckwheat pillow too expensive to use? Then I want to complain about the breakfast of this hotel. You can see that the dining space is very spacious, but the quality of the breakfast is very poor. Except for noodles, cakes and porridge made by the hotel itself, the others are purchased ready-made. There is no Western pastry made by the hotel itself, and the quality of the purchased ones is also very poor. There is no fresh juice, the juice is very sweet and unpalatable, and the coffee is not good. Comparing two hotels that we stayed in consecutively during the same holiday, this hotel is expensive but has poor service. We understand that this hotel is usually positioned as a wedding venue and a resting place for crew members at the airport next to it. It is not recommended for tourists to stay here, and the cost performance is very low.

We loved our stay in Taiyuan and this was probably the best overall hotel of our trip! If you can't find it in the alley simply walk into the most beautiful entrance. The interior designer must have been happy as well, lots of nice artwork and style, very nice room, comfy bed, great breakfast buffet. Perfect location yet quiet, in the old centre full of shops and restaurants, buzzy nightlife, don't miss the 'Paris Baguette' in the same alley! By the way, to get to the wonderful Jinci Temple we simply took the subway to Xiqiao and then a Didi.

Very pretty inn, the staff was very nice. All in all, I very much recommend staying here, I was impressed by the quality with such a low price (I paid 27€ for a night, in a room made for three people!). The only thing is that the inn is also a costume and photography shop, open quite late, and it was super noisy until around midnight.

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Pingyao Ancient City, close to the ticket office and various attractions like 日升昌. The owner is incredibly welcoming and warm, even providing transfer services from the high-speed railway station. Upon arrival, they even gave us a pingyao map and highlighted the main attractions to visit. The buffet breakfast offers a delightful selection of local dishes, all delicious. The welcome fruits, especially the apples, were particularly sweet and refreshing. Unfortunately, we only had a night’s stay, but I wouldn’t mind extending my stay if time permits.

We checked into Yunman·Xi at 0930. We were afraid that we would not be able to find the hotel at night, so the lady came to pick us up at the parking lot of the ancient city bar. It is very convenient to park and take a taxi there. Facilities: There are not many rooms in the hotel. Each room has a private pool where you can put hot spring water for hot spring bathing (P6). There are curtains so you don’t have to worry about them showing through. It’s very comfortable. You can shower directly next to the pool. There is a Xiaoai classmate in the room, which can intelligently control the air conditioner and TV with voice. Environment: The hotel is decorated in a very bourgeois style, with a koi pond and camping chairs (P7-9, 11). It is very comfortable to drink tea and enjoy the breeze. There is an observation deck on the second floor. We checked in at night, and the night view was beautiful. During the day, refer to P8, 12-13, 1001🇨🇳 is also in time for the National Day When I checked out, I happened to encounter a truck transporting hot spring water (P14). The proprietress said that the store is close to the parking lot and transports it at least twice a day. The hot spring water released from the hot spring is all hot spring water. The temperature when it is transported is 50 degrees +, lower left corner It is the passage for transportation into each room of the hotel. It is imported from the truck with a hose. We were so busy watching this process that we forgot to take pictures hahh😂 I would also like to mention Yunman·Xi’s mascot (P15) - September (named September because they picked up a stray cat in September). It is a super beautiful silver gradient folded ear and very cute. Small, not afraid of life I stayed for one night and had a good rest. The proprietress and the ladies were very nice. I recommend everyone to choose their home and go to the hot springs again next time♨️

During our trip in China this was the most memorable Hotel. The hotel was really nice in the ancient city near the Prince residence and City Walls. The building has a traditional patio inside (covered) with a pool with fishes. The room was big, the bed very comfortable, nice bathroom, the room got all we needed for the stay (fridge, tea set etc...). Everyting vas very clean and tidy. The owner is really nice and caring, she came to pick us up at the station even if was late in the evening ad took us back at the check out. She helped us with our visit and suggested really good restaurants. The breakfast is in the nice patio, it is very good and traditional. I really hope I can visit again, I will surely suggest the hotel to my friends or anyone visiting Datong. Thank You!!!

Wow! Just wow! I looked at this place online and I was like I totally love it and I really wanted to stay in the old city as part of the experience of going to Pingyaogucheng. The hosts were super helpful picking me up from the station communicating via the Trip/app so I didn’t have to stress about communication issues. I stayed in a kang room just near the courtyard. It was really comfortable a little chair and table, TV (not that I used it) kettle, private bathroom. It’s really convenient to go to a lot of the central places for sightseeing and also great food and snacks. You can try some homemade alcohol and vinegar - and yes you get a bottle of vinegar to take with you at the end of your stay.

I specially booked a small courtyard room with private soup. I didn't expect this temporary intention to become the most unexpected success of the journey. As soon as I arrived at the door, I was poked: the blue stone road led to the inside, first around the small pond of the brocade, and the corner also hit the book on the ladder. The moment I opened the small courtyard, I couldn't help but ”wow”: There are a few green bamboos planted in the courtyard. There is a private soup pool in the room with a thick bed of yarn. There is also a small coffee table on the tatami next to it. Just think about sitting here drinking tea after making the soup, I feel comfortable in the bone. The warmer thing is that the waiter at the front desk ﹣﹣ watched me carry my luggage. The little brother immediately greeted me and said before I asked, ”The small courtyard you booked is in the innermost, we will send you there, how to operate from the private soup along the way, do you want to add thickness to the bedding, which sheep soup in the ancient city is the most authentic, The night light is the best photo point, said in detail, more worry-free than doing a strategy. This small world in the ancient city of Zhangzhou, with the elegance and comfort of the pavilions and flowing water, and full of sincere enthusiasm, added a warm ending to this blessing trip. It turns out that sometimes I don't go as planned, but I can meet unexpected beauty!
