I was skeptical about TeaHorse at first due to the lack of reviews but this turned out to be a wonderful stay! We stayed here overnight on our 2 day hike through the Tiger Leaping Gorge. We upgraded to the Deluxe Standard Room (for extra 50 CNY) since the room is newer and slightly bigger. The ensuite toilet was basic but very clean. The beds were also heated and the aircon could be used for heating and cooling. The guesthouse also runs a restaurant cooking homecooked meals and a cafe/bar boasting a beautiful view. We felt that the view from TeaHorse was better than the one at Halfway House, which seems to be the more popular resting spot amongst hikers. The view of stars from the cafe viewpoint at night is also amazing. The staff helped us book a return bus to Lijiang, which left from Tina’s guesthouse the next day. Tina’s was a 4h hike from TeaHorse and we boarded the bus back to Lijiang Old Town with no problem. Overall a lovely stay and would highly recommend this room as an overnight rest point for hikers.

There’s washing machine and even extra jackets that can be borrowed from the hotel as we undermine the cold in Shangrila the puffer jacket we borrowed really help us a lot with the cold. There’s pickup and dropoff service for free to and fro the Railway Station. The room that we book is really nice and the view is also nice. Please stay here if you come to Shangrila. You won’t regret it.

We were particularly impressed with the heated bed in our room, which provided a cozy and warm retreat after a day of exploring the city. Additionally, the owner can speak English and extremely helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. What a beautiful view. The hotel itself is located nearby the famous Halfway guesthouse. Nice and clean hotel with friendly staffs. I once left my backpack in the restaurant and didn't realize until he deliver it to my room. Thank you. The room is simple but very spacious with two big beds. I think it could accommodate 4 peoples. The hightlight is.. the view from our room. Just open the curtain and you can see the majestic Yulong snow mountain. The restaurant below also delicious although we had a bit problem with translation. Ps : book the upper floor room.

Just amazing. This doesn’t need a big review because the experience speaks for itself. I am an English traveller in China and I found this to be one of, if not the, most pleasant stay I have had on my own. The room is huge, more than enough for 2 people. The amenities are clean and changed daily. Tea is provided—great for fans of Yunnan hot drinks. But the really special part is the host: Joy and her family are wonderful people! Helpful. Kind. Attentive. And great fun to speak with and be around. I am very happy I chose to stay here. The Jin Bi Ya Yuan is THE place to stay in Dali. I’ll be coming again.

I booked the family room, and the underfloor heating is turned on after 5 PM. You will feel warm when you step on the floor. The family room has two beds. One of the beds has a heating pad, so you will feel warm while sleeping in it. The other bed does not have a heating pad, but there is a portable electric heater beside it. The whole room is very warm; even when the temperature outside drops below 0°C, I still felt warm indoors, especially due to the heated floor. The room also provides an oxygen device in case you need it. The breakfast is simple but good, and you can ask for refills if needed. The hotel staff are very friendly and even offer a free ride to the train station. This hotel is a great choice for foreign tourists exploring Dukezong Ancient City.

The reception desk was very helpful in sharing ways to get around, and allowed me to do check-in early. They were hospitable, warm and welcoming, ensuring that I get a bottle of warm water before leaving to explore the city each day.

We loved this hotel! It was so mystical being in this hotel. The rooms were immaculate and big enough to cater to two big luggage. The shower area came with heater so you don’t feel cold after switching off the water supply! They provide good amenities as well! The toothbrushes and shower gel were of excellent quality. The breakfast prepared is excellent! I am still thinking about the 米线 as it was just so delicious. Our hotel package came with free pick-up or drop off service as well as a free costume experience situated within the hotel. We ended up getting a package so we may go and have some photos taken! The make up artist and photographer were very knowledgeable and friendly. Location-wise, it’s a short distance to the ancient town. The hotel itself is situated at a corner which could make it difficult for Didi drivers to know where to alight. However, it’s actually quite easy to walk in from the main road. That said, we had to leave the hotel before staying the last night as they had a power outage that lasted for the entire day. We had thought it’ll be resolved as we’ll be travelling around Dali Ancient Town, but it still wasn’t when we arrived back late at night. This caused some inconvenience as there was no lights nor heater. The outage was only solved the following day after we left! They could’ve provided us with some back up options to head to another hotel or something as that would be good service recovery.

Everything else is nothing much to shout about, compared to our other hotels during the stay. The biggest downside is the heating, which is centralised and we can't control on our own. So even though it says there is floor heating, the room is still very very cold at night. Luckily the bed has heating but it is a bit too hot. So at night we were caught in the dilemma of the bed being too hot but the room being too cold.

The inn doesn’t have elevators, only a staircase, but the staff were so attentive—they carried my luggage up and down for me, ensuring I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The location is perfect for exploring the serene beauty of Shangri-la. Nearby attractions include Potatso National Park, Songzanlin Monastery, and Dukezong Ancient Town, as well as a nearby horse ranch, where you can dress in traditional ******* costumes and ride across the scenic grasslands. The on-site breakfast was delicious, with fresh, locally sourced options that made each morning a delight. Overall, Shangri-la Runjing Muqi B&B offers an unforgettable experience. The room was equipped with smart room control with voice activation. Need to use Google translate voice to turn on/off lights, curtains, air conditioning, and so on. The towel however was a very thin piece of towel, better bring your own.

Facilities: The room is very large, the water heater is very large, the room provides heating, oxygen, the bathroom and toilet are two separate rooms, the wash basin is very large, and there is a mirror, which can meet the needs of my friend and I to brush our teeth and make-up at the same time. Service: Friends who come to Shangri-La must stay in Muzhuo Manor. My friend and I came together. The room is on the second floor. The boss helped to deliver a 28-inch suitcase in each hand. I felt the warmth of this city and the enthusiasm of the boss. The homestay provides breakfast, including rice noodles, barley cakes, butter tea, etc. It is really great. When we checked out on the last day, the boss saw us coming down and immediately came to help carry the luggage down.

This is my first time in Lijiang. Mr. Andy contact me days before we arriving from Kuala Lumpur to arrange for pick up at train station. But due to my WeChat aps error, we go to the hotel by DiDi and he picked us from the entrance and helped us with the bags as the old city not accessible direct by car. While we were checking in he made us tea, which was really nice. The hotel is very beautiful, just in the center of Lijiang Old Town. You can go out and stroll. The room and environment is beautiful, comfortable and clean and also all the essential are there. The whole staff of the hotel were really nice and always there for me for all the service that I need especially Mr. Andy. He taking care of us. He helped me reserving a trip to the snow mountain & Tiger Leaping Gorger. Mr. Andy led us to the meeting point in the morning. Very good of him. Mr. Andy arrange driver to send us to the train station on our last day in Lijiang. I highly recommended staying at this hotel and will never regret the experience. Firstly about the cleanliness. Room is clean, things are properly placed and kept neat and tidy. The location is just right outside lijiang ancient city which is perfect because it won't be that noisy when you require early rest, it's also near enough to the most bustling part of the town. There's some stairs for sure but if you can walk 玉龙雪山 and Lijiang ancient city this is really alright. Owner is very responsive and friendly and very helpful. There's a reason why they are 4.8* because the services are that good. Checked up on me and fetched me once I arrived to prevent myself from getting lost. Also help with some last min requests. If you have any issues, I'm sure he'll be glad to help you out, so no point complaining when it's over when one could have reached out to him and I'm sure he will help to the best of his abilities. Amenities are well supplied, there's enough stuff for you to last through the night. There's even an air-con, washing machine, resting corner, TV and a part to view the night city. Not to say the room is really big for that price.

Service: The luggage was heavy, and the guy used a tricycle to help pull the luggage from the parking lot to the homestay. He also helped to carry the luggage throughout the journey. The service was very good! It is especially worth mentioning that my luggage was left in the parking lot, and I wanted to trouble the guy to run a trip to help find and keep it. The guy agreed without saying a word. I offered to pay extra compensation, but the guy refused to accept it. I was particularly touched to meet such a simple, kind and helpful homestay staff! Facilities: The hotel facilities are particularly complete. Towels, bath towels, slippers, etc. are all disposable, and are equipped with disposable toilet covers. The paper towels are all high-quality brands. Considering that air conditioning heating may cause dry air, a humidifier is even thoughtfully equipped. Location: It is only a 5-minute walk from the famous check-in point Baisha plaque; I live on the second floor and can see the snow-capped mountains from a good angle. Hygiene and environment: Very good Meals: The breakfast chaos is super delicious, and the soup is also delicious! In addition, a snack platter is prepared, with a rich variety and complete nutrition!

The location was good, can walk yo amcient city. Bus 101 stop was abt 15-20 min walk. just note, inn has a small stone street, which is not good for suitecase tyres. A bit hard to book taxi via didi app all the way to the inn . I asked the hotel staff help book taxi via my didi app, they ask me to key in the address myself. Overall the inn is reasonable, but I had to climb almost 3 stories everyday. Hard to bring bags up and down or climb up to room after a long day of hiking. Next time i would prefer a hotel with lift or room downstairs. Room was clean. Slight smell in the toilet on the first day, next two days I didnt notice any smell. Wifi was good. Bed was comfortable. Towel and bed sheet was clean..

I recently stayed at Huiyu Jushe Guanjing Inn, and it truly felt like discovering a hidden gem! At over 300rmb per night, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I checked in. The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking, with either a panoramic scene of lush green mountains and tranquil waters or charming ancient streets and alleys—every photo I took felt like it belonged in a movie. The room itself was well-equipped with everything I needed: air conditioning, hot water, and reliable WiFi. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I found myself falling asleep within moments each night. This hotel will attach a butler for each guest during the stay. My butler named Dashan. He was warm and attentive, always eager to assist with planning my itinerary. His kindness and the other staffs made our stay even more memorable. They even provided afternoon tea, and the public terrace was another highlight—it was so cosy!🫠 The inn is also conveniently located, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Given the combination of comfort, stunning views, and excellent service, the price-performance ratio is unbeatable. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this spot to others. Don’t miss out!

WeChat group was set up before arrival and he helped with arranging the free transport from Lijiang train station to 南门1号 where he is there with trolley to help us with the luggages as the road in the ancient city is bumpy. Super grateful for great service where he went above and beyond working hours to fix up our needs and also introduce scenic routes within the ancient city and recommending restaurants and shopping tips around. I am very impressed and highly recommended this hotel with following reasons: 1. The staffs are very helpful and supportive even though the communication is limited as they cannot speak English, and I cannot speak Chinese. They have gone extra mile to help me with WeChat app. 2. The room that I stayed was really clean with great size. The place is really quiet and great to stay. 3. The location is right in the middle of City center.
