Location wise near to Mont Saint Michel and the view is breathtaking. The hotel is under construction but dont worry you still can get the view of Mont Saint Michel
Recently renovated hotel: new furniture, plumbing and fresh repairs. Breakfast is like in all hotels, nothing special.
Cons: extra breakfast was included in the bill, which I only found out about when I received the bill by email, I recommend checking the bill at the reception.
The room is good, the area is slightly small, the lobby is not spacious enough, usually there is no staff at the front desk in the morning, the location is general, there is a certain distance from the beach, quiet and comfortable
We booked this hotel because it was in a château and it looked romantic and unique .However there were many details lacking overall. Firstly avoid the restaurant at all costs even though the three course meal was only €29. The food preparation and quality was terrible. Please see attached photos. The salmon I had was overcooked from frozen salmon and the greens were likely frozen greens that were boiled to mush and no longer green. The risotto was just rice coated in some weird cream and had some tasteless pieces of chicken slapped on top. We did not finish the food.
They clearly also need more staff as our receptionist was doubling up as a waitress, and we noticed that there were some waits and gaps in service.
The room was compact and clean, but the details were lacking. For example, the fixtures and appliances were the cheapest variety possible and didn’t match the Luxe feel that the hotel is going for. The location is slightly out of town and a 20 minute walk to all the main sites in the old town.
The grounds were tidy and very pretty in photos.
New Hotel. The Spa area is so small that you actually need to book it well in advance if you are planning to use it.. As most likely the slot which you would like is already taken. It's charged per hour...
Overnight parking is €19.
Very irritating is the shower in the bathroom as the water goes between too hot and too cold on its own pattern and you can't control it.. Typical for the buildings with the plumbing issues, or the water pressure..

Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as a casino, or other amenities including complimentary wireless internet access and wedding services. This hotel also features a television in a common area, tour/ticket assistance, and a ballroom.
Satisfy your appetite with French cuisine at Le Trèfle, a beachfront restaurant which features an ocean view. Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. Buffet breakfasts are served on weekdays from 7 AM to 10 AM and on weekends from 8 AM to 11 AM for a fee.
Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Limited parking is available onsite.
Stay in one of 25 guestrooms featuring LCD televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and satellite programming is available for your entertainment. Private bathrooms with bathtubs or showers feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Conveniences include phones, as well as safes and desks.
No refrigerator, no elevator, if there is more luggage, it is not very convenient. But the hotel staff is still very powerful. The hotel lobby and the room are separated, not in a building, it takes 5 minutes to get there.

SShawnHere's a unique hotel - housed in a old mansion from the 1900s. This means that each room in the original wing is a little different and 'eclectic'. There's also a new wing with newer rooms, a spa, a swimming pool (sorta heated), a bistro and a 1 Michelin star restaurant.
Pros:
- Unique style of hotel that's set away from the hustle/bustle of the Etritat town.
- Helpful staff
- Complimentary bakes and hot drinks from 4-6pm
- Michelin-star restaurant on site (but it was closed during our visit)
- Comfortable beds, good water pressure and a bathtub
- Professional grade Nespresso machine in-room with 4 pods (2x decaf) + nice tea bags
- Grounds are cute, with a resident cat, fireplace and pleasant garden-ish spaces.
Cons:
- Cleanliness - we discovered a swarm of ants crawling behind the curtain. We think it was some food that wasn't cleaned away from the previous guest that attracted the ants. This was gross.
- Room styling may not be to everyone's tastes - suggest you ask to view a room before you move your luggage in.
- Narrow stairs to rooms in main building, was abit hard to get luggage up to but they can get help if needed.
- Location could be a con for some as it's a good 10-12 min walk into the main down down a high.
- Parking spaces were limited.
- Breakfast is pricey at 25 euro - there's a great boulangerie in town Maison Piquenot that you can get good croissants, baguettes from.
- Overall abit pricey for the value you get.
GGuest UserIf you want to experience La vraie vie de chateau (a real life a a castle owner) this is your choice. Only 5 rooms available, very private, feels like you are in your own chateau… fabulous park and setting around the main building, was told there are other separate “mini” houses in the park , and you can go watch the horses…. And admire the view on the valley.
Our room: we booked the round bedroom … the center bedroom on the 1st floor…. Fabulous place, need a bit of upgrade in the bathroom… if anything… but seriously felt like a châtelain… as we reached early, we were welcomed by one of the sons of the owners who took us around the private wing, “his house”, and told us everything about the mansion history as well as hotel business. A great interaction with a friendly castle owner and businessman. They also have a snooker, a gym and sauna…. I mean… what else do you want!!!
We had to go out for dinner (at L’Hermitage) which the owner booked for us.
Breakfastwas served in the salons…. Stylish French dépit déjeuner, served by a dynamic, friendly and frank lady.
Just go. Dont hesitate.
GGuest UserLoved this hotel so much. I kept booking it and stayed 3 consecutive nights. So chic, so pretty and perfect. Extremely clean and it even has a nesspresso machine and decaf pods. From having stayed in many hotels in Europe, most AC are not very strong. Le Carline was the exception. The AC was extremely cold and pleasant. The rooms are very well insulated so you can’t hear anything that’s going on outside. Great for your rest. Definitely will keep coming back.
GGuest UserPerfect welcome, perfect location, everything was great until I was woken up at 8:40 a.m. by the women of Menage who initially talked to each other and then made a lot of noise.
So I woke up in a very bad mood.
YyuyumomFeel more like a homestay
1. The boss is a very enthusiastic old man, polite
2. The hotel is at the crossroads, and the parking is on the side of the road.
3. Because it is a hotel where the residence is changed, the room is a bit old, but it doesn’t matter if you experience it once
The town where this hotel is located is very small. It is still very convenient to drive to Mont Saint-Michel for about ten kilometers
Just stayed for one night, you can make do with it
GGuest UserThe check-in time of the homestay is relatively late, there is no elevator in the homestay, you need to carry your luggage, the service awareness is relatively poor, but the breakfast is delicious
