The outside of the hotel needs sprucing up, the inside is tired too, but our room was huge. A slight sea view too. The staff were all lovely, breakfast was great too. The location was a pleasant walk away from the Princess Theatre. Plenty of places to eat along the way too.
This hotel is very clean and all the woman receptionist very polite and helpful. Very happy with the service from them. The 2 man night staff were not helpful. I didn’t understand why I can’t order drink for our room and pay end of the stay. We even received letter in the morning that was outside the room not in envelope which everyone can read I didn’t like at all , reason been dater protection with don’t forget to pay for our order which we did straight away and had my full name on it.We stayed for 3 night so what was such a problem for those 2 night shift man. Otherwise all our stay was perfect. Thank u
Reasonably priced B&B with friendly helpful owners..3 minutes from the beach and high street. Quiet location even on a bank holiday. Would definitely return.
The Travelodge Plymouth Derriford is a great choice for guests looking for accommodation in Plymouth, having been recently opened in 2025. The hotel is conveniently located a short 6km drive from Devonport. Seeing Plymouth's sights from this hotel is easy with Goodwin Park, Southway Library and Derriford Centre for Health & Wellbeing all close by. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing.
Although the standard twin bed room we occupied is quite small, it is well decorated, has modern furniture and is spotlessly clean. There is a recent shower unit, a TV, a fan, and tea and coffee making facilities. There are twin electrical sockets and 4 USB outlets adjacent to each bed. While the window looks along the coast rather than directly out to sea, the view is very pleasant. The English breakfast was good, and the manager, Adam, very helpful. There is parking on a hard-standing at the side of the hotel. The sea and pier are close by, and the main shopping area is walkable. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot. Two constructive suggestions are (1) a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries which won't stand on top of the curved sink, and (2) provision of a toilet brush.
Enjoyed very much, rooms very clean, housekeeping excellent, breakfast was very tasteful food hot and replenished quickly staff were helpful Reception staff very helpful:Everything was nearby, the only thing that spoils Torquay is the beggars outside of every spare space, shame surely council can home them especially as they were putting families at ill ease

Hotel was very clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Location was perfect and the view from our window was lovely. Only negative I have was that the shower water was cold and the water only came through as a trickle. Apart from that I had lovely stay and it was value for money and would definitely stay again.

Very Good
AAdrian CaseyBrilliant location near beach. Aimed mainly at families, evening entertainment typical holiday camp for young children or oaps. Very good service and well maintained facilities. Excellent breakfast, clean rooms and fun games onsite like crazy golf. I had party of 3 adults staying in the hotel side. Best value in the area for a room with 3 or 4 adults. Highly recommend for a trip to North Devon
RRyan WindsorStayed for one night while exploring Dartmoor and it makes for a great stop on route. The room was large and comfortable but can get a bit cold if it is a cold day. But all the staff are lovely and friendly and the food is excellent!
BBradleyConvenient and flexible stay. Very friendly staff and generous portions for breakfast. Can be noisy in the mornings, especially with windows open.
