We arrived at late night after a long trip, and we have been welcomed from a really sweet guy who helped us to park our car ,and also offered us a beer .. the room was clean and spacious, the hotel is new and has a stylus and smart concept... we had to stay only 1 night but we extend 1 more nite in order to rest and relax before going back home.. the day after we met elder who seems to be the manager who gave us so many informations on what to see in genova and where to eat proper Italian food .. we felt like home,it wasn’t expected, such a great surprise at the end of our road trip through Europe.. definitely recommended .. we will stay again if we will ever come back to genova.. thanks guys

We booked 2 nights with breakfast included. We were 2 adults with our 16 year-old daughter. The room is comfortable and it has all you need and won't break the bank. The staff was really helpful and suggested a great restaurant for the first night. The location is awesome, being right above the train station, it makes it perfect for a day trip to Cinque Terre. The room has a kettle, coffee and tea and some complimentary cookies. There is storage for your clothes (armoire). There is a common room with 2 loveseats and books to borrow/take/exchange. There is no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Not a big deal for us, but good to know in advance. Communication with the staff in advance was great and they were helpful to get us there easily. We also booked for breakfast. They give you a voucher for a coffee shop one street over for a coffee and croissant. The place and staff was great. The croissant was really tasty. I would recommend this hotel.

The Poet Hotel
4.4/5132 Reviews
We recently completed a trip through Europe by train staying in each country in four star hotels. The one hotel that stands out the most from all the rest was the Poet Hotel, La Spezia, Italy, unfortunately not for all the right reasons ! Although out of the seven hotels we stayed , the Poet was the most basic of all, in fact we'd be generous giving it a three star. The room we stayed in was very cramped, no cupboards, no draws, or wardrobe to unpack clothes etc. Just a bed, an open clothes rail, a mirror and tiny small shelf-desk. Although we found it clean this fell far below the standards in all the other hotels we stayed. We went through all the channels on the T.V and the BBC, CNN were not available. For a language commonly used widely around the world, you would have thought there would have been at least one channel in English available. When asking the receptionist which way to the bar, she smiled and said ”the reception desk is the hotel bar ” and that they would get us drinks and we could drink them in the breakfast area, goes to say, we didn't bother. The Hotel's web site clearly shows a bar but we didn't see one and to sit in the breakfast area, no thanks. There is a sign in the hotel saying ”Enjoy the Fun” I'm afraid no fun to be had here. We did contact our travel company and they were very quick to get straight back with a message saying that they had contacted the hotel management and that they were aware of the issues. No one contacted us from the management rest of the three nights we stayed but we decided to not spoil the holiday and tough it out. This hotel was more like an up-market student hostel and clearly if you like living out of your case off the floor this is the place for you. Alan Carlisle
Miramare Hotel

The location was perfect and we are lucky enough to find street parking just outside the hotel. However, due to the lack of blanket (only a thin sheet of cloth and a unwashable thick blanket in wardrobe), we were unable to get a good night sleep. Also, the handle of the toilet was broken.

Piazza Principe
This hotel is past its prime. It was probably super swanky when it was built, and has stunning views over Genoas port and railway station - but it has not kept up to modern standards. The rooms feel outdated and old. However: the price is low, and for travellers arriving by train the hotel could not be better placed. The rooms have high ceilings and excellent aircondition, as well as good water pressure in the bathrooms. We stayed two nights in the middle of the heat wave and could not have asked for better sleep. Our only complaint would be that the night receptionist did not seem to like his guests very much. We would absolutely recommend the hotel for travellers on a budget, travellers who would like to live close to Genoas narrow & non-gentrified alleyways, and trainspotters who will enjoy the views to all arriving trains!
Via Palazzo Sanremo

Very good hotel, well located, attentive staff. The hotel is in the heart of the city, 300 meters from the sea and the car parks, but very quiet. Good value for money. The little travel cot for baby and the bonus kettle for the bottle. The only problem for us is the lack of elevator for the stroller and luggage but that's a detail. THANKS !

Brignole - XX Settembre
The hotel was honestly quite good and modern. The location was pretty decent too, lots of good food around the area. They have a vintage lift system, it is pretty cool, but not exactly my cup of tea as it was a bit tough to use the lift with luggage.
Casa Zeffirino
4.4/551 Reviews
The Casa Zefferini in Sanremo is a wonderful bed and breakfast run by a lovely family who could not be more helpful. Spotlessly clean with lovely, well equipped rooms, it was a pleasure to stay there for a week. The rooftop terrace provides a pleasant area to relax. A good, varied breakfast is provided and can be eaten out or in. It's location is ideal, with a short walk down to the town centre and easy access to the old town. If you're in the area stay there, you will not be disappointed.
Monteverdi Resort

We stayed a night...small but very comfortable, clean and absolutely quiet room...then Mrs. Johanna the owner absolutely very kind and friendly , gave us advice on what to visit in the short time we had...then Very strategic location ...to reach the 5 lands, just a few minutes walk from the railway station, just as close to the center... I recommend booking the car park... which is just in front of the stable...so I have nothing to do compliments and thanks for welcomed us in this short stay....we will surely return to you.. THE COUNCIL VIVously!!!
