The female owner's hospitality was excellent, and we had a wonderful stay. She gave us information about local sightseeing spots, and when we told her we were going to Kandy next, she also shared some of the highlights there, making this a fond memory of our trip to Sri Lanka.
We got caught in the rain while sightseeing in Ella, and when we arrived at the inn soaking wet, the warm Ceylon tea she had prepared for us was delicious and comforting. It was a perfect stay without any complaints, and we'll come again.
I had a wonderfull stay with a very friendly stuff. Salindu is a Artist in cooking i enjoyed is food daily. Adit the Man who is always there for me anytime . I can highly Recommend this Guest house in the green nature. Thank you so much for your care. I will come back with my next Sri Lankan journey. Greetings Sita
Great hotel, with unbeatable view of Ella rock on the balcony. However the room did not have universal plug sockets, the hotel provided a hairdryer but did not fit the plug socket. It is also very difficult to get to with suitcases. Fine if you’re backpacking, but carrying suitcases up the massive hill is very difficult. Perhaps the hotel should look into purchasing their own tuktuk to ferry customers up and down the hill. Not everyone is a backpacker!
It was a beautiful inn with a very high altitude. It is an inn where the car dispatch app cannot be used very much, but when I contacted the staff of the inn, I arranged a convenient tuk tuk driver to go to the area around Ela station for 1100 rupees one way. In fact, no matter where I went, they put me on 300 to 500 rupees cheaper than other drivers. The room was clean, but it was a pity that the shower toilet door was a little broken & only lukewarm water. However, the outside scenery was really beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. I think it is a good inn overall, such as price.
The train view chalet is a very special hotel managed by a very friendly and helpful staff. We spent Christmas there and it was quite special, maybe a 20 min ride away from Ella rock/Adams peak/nine arch bridge but it was quite relaxing within the nature, tea plantations, and the train above our heads! Not noisy at all, just unique and beautiful. A must have experience if in Ella. Many upgrades to come for this hotel after speaking to management so it will for sure be better and better :) Thank you!!!
Very good place to stay with awesome views. The staff took great care off us. Only downside to gaving good views the location is quite far from the city centre. So pick me and uber drivers won't take any rides since the app prices are way cheaper so no choice but to pay tourist fares. Room as an electric fan but AC would have been nice.

Very Good
This guest house is located right in the middle of the forrest. Really cute and the hotel staff is so kind. She is very sweet and super helpful. The only problem is the entrance is a long stairs steps and if you have huge luggage. It will be really hard to carry. The room is cozy but the bathroom has no amenities so please bring your own shower gel and shampoo.
It’s a little high up on a hill, but the view from my balcony was gorgeous. It’s also right off the main street, so if you don’t mind the trek up and down you’re still relatively well-situated to be near the backpackers’ bars and restaurants and shops. Breakfast had a lot of local Sri Lankan options which I greatly appreciated, and staff was also happy to explain each dish to newcomers. A small piece of advice for the team though: perhaps hire a few female staffers? As a woman traveling alone, one of the first things I noticed was the all-male staff—or at least, I didn’t see a single woman working there in my 2-night stay. I don’t have a problem with it, but newer solo female travelers might unintentionally be scared off
The hotel was a little out of the way, but a beautiful location, and the owner drove me to the city center and picked me up, and also took me to the train station….all for FREE ! The breakfast was amazing (but way too much for one person). I would stay the again.
