I stayed in North south holiday park on the day of arrival and the night pre departure from Christchurch. It is located about 5 mins drive or 45 mins walk from CHC international airport. You can book their airport shuttle ($5 per pax) during operational hours or the front desk can order a taxi for you at a cheaper price. Amenities are complete and cleanliness is well maintained. The only set back is there is no eateries within short walking distance except burgerking, but not a problem if you come with a car or you can cook at their kitchen(with utensils provided)
It was a rainy and windy New Year's Eve in Christchurch. After a long struggle picking up the rental car at the airport in the rain, we cautiously drove for half an hour to reach the hotel and park. The black gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel's inner courtyard is beautiful. The room decor, as mentioned in other reviews, is indeed a bit dated, but the room itself is quite spacious. We braved the stormy weather to walk back and forth to Amazonita for our New Year's Eve dinner, and my pants and socks were completely soaked when we returned. To my surprise, there was a washer-dryer combo unit, complete with two small packets of laundry detergent and instructions taped next to it. After getting Doubao to translate how to use the machine, I washed all my wet clothes. They came out warm and dry, ready to wear the next day.
The Chinese owner made communication easy, and I was able to check in around 12 o'clock. The room was a bit old, but it had everything I needed, so it was fine for one night. Try to avoid rooms facing the street, as the soundproofing isn't great.
The overall ambiance was just average.
Cleanliness: The place was quite clean.
Service: There wasn't much service to speak of. The most significant issue was the strict 10 AM check-out time; they'd constantly rush you if you weren't out, which was quite stressful.
Facilities: The facilities were a bit dated, but generally acceptable.
Spacious and good.
The next day, I returned a rental car from Christchurch Airport. I was wondering if I would sleep in the city or outside. I was good at choosing this place.
Save the cost and the hostel is very spacious.
There's time to go to the airport, and we're walking around the valley of Hutshan.
I had a rice cooker at a Korean restaurant.
An awesome place! The lady at the front desk was incredibly warm and welcoming, and even gave us some complimentary milk. The cleanliness was also great.
Facilities: The facilities are complete, the rooms are spacious, and parking and laundry facilities are convenient.
Cleanliness: Very clean, room service is prompt and efficient every day, and the location is also quite good, not too far.
Environment: The environment is very nice.
Hotel service is particularly good, very clean, two bedrooms, one living room, four beds, kitchen, very close to the supermarket, a few minutes walk, closer to the bus station, you can take the bus to the city center and the airport.

Amazing
Best place we’ve stayed in New Zealand!!! Very clean, nice view, amazing amenities and friendly host. The best thing is they have a clean and good hot tub (nice view as well). We wake up with a super nice mountain view and the breakfast is amazing. The host is very nice and let us know about the activities we can do around Kaikoura!! Everything is exactly like the description and images they post👍👍👍
A bit old fashioned motel but everything is working fine except our kitchen tap water is dripping. Hot shower is very strong pressure. Warehouse is just across the road. Friendly staff and good service.
Warm comfortable and so convenient to where we needed to be for our function. Appreciated the upgrade and also that we were not expected to stay a minimum of two nights to get the accommodation.
The room is good. Warm enough. The kitchen is fully equipped. Just that the kettle was rusty, and doesn't feel safe to use it, so we went to the nearby supermarket and bought some water bottles. Bathroom amenities are provided but in travel size form.
The room was conveniently located on the first floor, perfect for tourists. Free parking was available, and the kitchen was fully equipped, although we didn't cook. The beach was about a 10-minute walk away.
GGuest UserVery characteristic cabin, the house has some sense of age, but the equipment is still very complete, the big TV, the air conditioning is very new, there are two pigs and an alpaca in the yard, they are very interesting, you can feed the pigs. Haha
玫玫萱The aunt at the front desk press the doorbell to come out to check in, fill in the personal information, check in without anything, give the key directly and bring it to the room, and give a bottle of milk
The car parked at the door of his room, all rooms on the first floor. The room is not small, with a small living room and kitchen, bath products, hair dryer, kettle, microwave oven, stove, towels, no slippers, toothpaste and toothbrush
The room is clean and has a heater. The town is not big, a few hundred meters away are restaurants, shops, and gas stations, but there are not many people.
The hotel does not include breakfast. I will leave after eating bread and check out at 10 o’clock on time. I just pass by here as a break
