Wonderful staff always willing to help, the establishment really only has the incentive of being located next to the ocean... then only... it has one TV channel,,, there is no fitness room for exercises, and the breakfast is always the same... simple and without eggs... or bacon unless you pay for it, anyway there are many hotels and bungalows on the island, the address should change a little and modernize... also the wifi is paid ☹️
Stayed at Qiongya Beach Hotel on Etutaki Island for two nights. There was an airport shuttle service and a wreath. I went to the hotel at 11 o'clock and drank a welcome drink. After listening to the hotel introduction, I could stay directly. This was great. Although the garden bungalow can't directly see the sea view, the room is large and it is good to sit in the porch and see the scenery. The beach is beautiful, there are countless coral cockroaches, which can be taken away but confiscated by New Zealand customs. Breakfast is average, dinner is not bad, 50 knives per capita. The disadvantage is that the facilities in the room are old, the door cannot be locked, and it takes a long time to work hard. The hotel staff came to check and waited for a long time. They also said that we broke it. It doesn’t matter if the hotel is safe and not locked. Later, we finally changed the room. This room is also a little faulty, too lazy to communicate with them, the shower shower is not very easy to use, the water is not big enough.
The Edgewater is perfect for a family with kids getaway. They have all the things you need for a day in the pool or playing in the ocean. We never had any problem getting a table with a nice ocean view with our afternoon cocktails. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, loved our ocean view from our room and balcony. The kids were having a blast in the pool, which kept us from going in, too crowded, and that's the only thing that was slightly negative. We loved the happy hour! It's definitely a family place, safe and fun!
We had two rooms for our family. The beach suite was very spacious and had an amazing view of the lagoon. The beach was so calm and beautiful. We loved the kayaking and paddle boarding. The food was good but after a few days we were sick of the menu. Luckily the location is great and you can walk to other restaurants.
The resort is good, the local popular one, 3k a night is still quite expensive, the price is generally the same, although the best beach and the lake on the main island, but it is still completely incomparable with the outlying island, it is OK to stay for one night.
Our stay at Moana Sands Villa was exceptional. The accommodation was spacious and furnished, with all the amenities we needed. Opening the lounge door to the beach was simply magical. Having a 24-hour supermarket nearby was incredibly convenient, and the nearby cafe and take-away shop were fantastic. Overall, a perfect getaway destination that we can't wait to return to.
The service is very good. I upgraded to a sea view room. The view is very beautiful, but there is no beautiful lobby or restaurant. However, it is convenient to eat. There is a good restaurant one minute walk from the beach. We have a two o'clock flight and the hotel Let me stay until one o'clock. This is an advantage that other hotels do not have. I am very satisfied.
With a stay at Muri Beach Resort in Rarotonga (Takitumu District), you'll be steps from Muri Beach and Muri Lagoon. This beach resort is 0.2 mi (0.4 km) from Muri Night Markets and 0.4 mi (0.7 km) from Te Vara Nui Village.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments, and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, including an outdoor pool and bicycles to rent. Additional features at this resort include wireless internet access (surcharge), concierge services, and babysitting (surcharge).
Enjoy local cuisine at Aqua, a poolside restaurant where you can enjoy drinks at the bar/lounge and dine alfresco. Or stay in and take advantage of the room service (during limited hours). Buffet breakfasts are available daily from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM for a fee.
Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 20 air-conditioned rooms featuring kitchenettes with refrigerators and stovetops. Rooms have private furnished balconies. Flat-screen televisions with cable programming are provided for your entertainment, with wired and wireless internet access available for a surcharge. Conveniences include separate sitting areas and microwaves, and housekeeping is provided daily.
The hotel's restaurant is delicious, the spa is also very good, it is worth experiencing, there are fewer people on the beach, there are not many snorkelers, the water is very clear, but there are many plants and mosquitoes. If you eat in that restaurant, you will be bitten by insects all the time. Overall, from the airport pick-up to the airport drop-off, every waiter in the hotel is smiling, very kind and friendly. I like it here very much. I think you should not stay in Rarotonga when you come to the Cook Islands, you should spend more time here

GGuest UserThe airport pickup was unfortunately very disappointing. We had given them our flight number and arrival time at least twice beforehand (it was the first flight, arriving at 6:50 am), and no one was there. A nice taxi driver then called the hotel, and someone was supposed to come.
Someone did arrive, but it wasn't clear which hotel they belonged to. He looked around briefly and left again without speaking to the two couples waiting (us and two other people). I then called again, they laughed briefly, hung up, and then the same man came back and spoke to us. He even said he'd been informed that we were arriving at 9 am... The welcome at the hotel was great; we were even allowed to have breakfast, even though check-in wasn't until later. The bungalow was also great.
The bicycles could use a bit of a tune-up (the gears didn't work, there was no kickstand, the basket was wobbly...).
But it's still great that bicycles, canoes, and SUPs are provided. There's something going on every day that you can participate in (mostly for free).
The staff are also really friendly; they address you by name.
The location is absolutely beautiful, the beach is gorgeous, the snorkeling was okay, and the moray eel at the ferry dock is amazing.
One suggestion for improvement: add a blackout blind to the room by the outdoor shower so it doesn't get so bright so quickly.

GGuest UserWe had a fantastic time - the pool, lagoon, cocktails and food were all excellent - but the staff were hands down the best part of our stay. They were all kind, friendly and considerate, and remembered everyone's name. My pedicure & massage were also wonderful. We are definitely returning for another visit.

GGuest UserEverything is expensive when you travel to the Cook Islands. The so-called buffet breakfast here is just bread, cereal, instant coffee, and one or two types of fruit. Everything else costs extra. However, the environment is quite nice. The beach to the right of the hotel is a great spot for snorkeling, with lots of fish.
