"I absolutely have to highly recommend this hotel! I originally thought staying in Wan Chai was just for the convenience of transportation, but after actually staying here, I realized this location is truly perfect for anyone visiting Hong Kong for tourism or business. The hotel's cleanliness is impeccable; the housekeeping staff does an excellent job every day. The lobby and front desk staff are also very friendly and polite, making the entire stay very comfortable. The most commendable aspect is definitely the location. Transportation is incredibly convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. There are plenty of leisure options and great food nearby. If you want to grab a drink or experience Hong Kong's nightlife, it's also very accessible. Especially for someone traveling to Hong Kong alone for business, I think this place is truly ideal. After work, if you want to eat, shop, or relax, you pretty much have everything at your fingertips. The only downside was that my stay coincided with a major exhibition in Hong Kong, causing the room rates to almost double for the latter part of my trip, which is why I unfortunately had to switch hotels. Otherwise, I genuinely would have stayed for a full week. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this stay, and I'm very grateful to all the hotel staff for their care over these past few days. The next time I visit Hong Kong, if the price is right, I will definitely prioritize staying here again. Highly recommended!"

"Upgraded to a sea view room for an extra 900! I'm a Marriott member, but the front desk said that rooms booked through a third party (Ctrip) are not eligible for points. I don't understand this logic at all. The experience for nearly 4000 a night was terrible! I wanted to use the bathtub, and the front desk said they could deep clean it when I checked in. That definitely didn't happen. So I went to the supermarket and bought some disinfectant myself. The cleanliness of this supposedly luxurious hotel completely put me off taking a bath. In the end, I only dared to soak my feet (it was too late when I got back to the hotel, so I didn't call for cleaning service again, and I didn't expect it to be so dirty – a layer of black grime, my hands were wet so I didn't take a photo). The showerhead had poor water pressure and no different modes to choose from! The hairdryer was ancient, heavy, and clunky. My hair still wasn't dry after 10 minutes. Ugh, a Lighfen would have been so much better! It really would save half the time! The window screen was crumpled up and had a hole in it. I was really disappointed. Am I staying at a fake Ritz?! I reported this to the front desk, and their standard response was ”I'm sorry, we'll upgrade you next time,” and they gave me a box of eight tea bags as compensation! I didn't feel any sincerity, and I'm not interested in coming back again! But, to be fair, the bedding was good, the pillows were very comfortable, and the young man handling the luggage was very polite and provided excellent service."

"It was a very enjoyable trip! I took advantage of the National Day holiday from the 1st to the 4th. Originally, it was a three-day, two-night stay, but I later changed my mind and decided to stay an extra day, so I had to move to a different place for the last night. The Hopewell Hotel is in an excellent location, right off Queen's Road East. The hotel lobby on the 19th floor is very impressive, and the front desk staff were warm and professional. The breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of options. There's also a gym and a swimming pool; this morning I even swam for an hour before checking out. All in all, this trip was great, and my two kids had a wonderful time too. I hope to come back again, but next time I'd prefer to avoid the peak season; it was a bit pricey during the National Day period."
