The location was fantastic - 山城步道 is just opposite, and 10 min walk away is 十八梯. If you continue walking you will end up in 解放碑 and 洪崖洞. Walk somemore and you will reach 来福士 (took me about 2.5h). The concierge is currently on the 4th floor in a makeshift area but the girls were nice and helped me receive my taobao parcels on my behalf before my arrival. They were also amiable during our communication on Wechat. The hotel room is pretty and definitely aesthetic, but after having been to over a dozen Chinese hotels, the cleanliness can be improved as the sofa chair didn't look too clean and there was plenty of grout. The showerhead also isn't exactly in the best condition as the water was leaking from the sides. Additionally, the toilet also had a bit of sewage smell so that's something to keep in mind ~ The view from the 41st floor is amazing though and you get both street view and sea view.

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Jiefangbei, Yuzhong District. Step right out to Shancheng Lane and Shibati Scenic Area, and Hongyadong is within walking distance. The location is absolutely fantastic! The room's Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and hot water were all fully functional and excellent. The service was also very attentive and made for a very comfortable stay.

The hotel's environment is fantastic! It's bright, clean, and the decor is very modern. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming. The entire room is smart voice-controlled, and there's a subtle, pleasant scent in the hotel hallway that really lifts your mood! Watching TV on the projector every night was a real treat. The hotel's location is also very convenient for getting around, and being on a high floor means great views. Staying at this hotel for my days in Chongqing was incredibly comfortable! I look forward to coming back again next time.

I was absolutely amazed when I first saw the room! The ambiance was fantastic. The hotel even upgraded our room for free! There's a huge tub perfect for soaking, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offer a spectacular night view. The room has a very artistic feel, and the private hot spring tub comes with disposable bath liners. However, if you let the water run for too long, the hot water might run out. It was clean and tidy, with no noticeable odors. The hotel pays attention to details, providing complimentary water, coke, and snacks, among other things.

I highly recommend this hidden gem of a hotel! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt the exceptional service. The front desk staff guided me with constant smiles, and check-in was efficient and thoughtful. The room's cleanliness was top-notch; the sheets and bedding were spotless, and the bathroom was clean with no strange odors. All the facilities were complete and well-maintained, including a smart toilet, high-speed WiFi, and a large-screen TV, all very convenient to use. The lobby pool is also a fantastic spot for photos. My entire stay was incredibly comfortable. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next trip! Highly recommended~

I particularly enjoyed the round bathtub and the large double bed. They provide disposable bath towels and bath bags, plus there's a mini-fridge, microwave, and a washer-dryer combo. The customer service lady was incredibly attentive, checking in daily to see if I needed anything and always accommodating. I wholeheartedly recommend booking this place with confidence!

Ascott always feels like home. If you’re an international traveller, it’s a great choice for a no-fuss stay — safe, reliable, and easy. I felt comfortable leaving my luggage with the team when I took a short trip out of the city. The staff speak English, and the service standards feel consistently international. A special mention to Orange, who was incredibly helpful in resolving my booking issues. He also made sure I got a room with a view for one night, and then arranged another great view for my second leg. It’s a comfortable base as you explore the sights and sounds of Chongqing.

I chose this place over Jixiang and Fengtang because I thought Xiahaoli would be more picturesque. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon, and Xiahaoli was bustling, which I wasn't quite used to. After dinner, it quieted down again. It rained all night, but I couldn't hear a thing from inside the room; the soundproofing was excellent. When I opened the window in the morning, the air was incredibly fresh. The service was very warm and attentive, with just the right amount of checking in, and they always helped with luggage. If I had to pick one minor flaw, it would be that the fermented rice wine in the Chinese breakfast was very bland. It would be perfect if that could be improved. Overall, the value for money is really high.

We went there with our friend’s family. 4 adults and a baby. We enjoyed our stay since it was very close to the main touristic spots. It also has a swimming pool that is good for kids to play in and the view was amazing. The place was clean and peaceful. The staff was very friendly and they even gave us the opportunity of a late check out for the little baby to have his afternoon nap.
