Guest UserEverything was great, good location, excellent value for money. It's located across from the river where Ukai (cormorant fishing) takes place, about a 15-minute walk from the boarding point. The breakfast was delicious.

Guest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was very happy with my experience. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and professional, always making me feel welcome.
The hotel was exceptionally clean, beautiful, and cozy. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food.
One of the highlights was the excellent facilities. I especially enjoyed the swimming pool and the three onsen baths. There was a lovely open-air rotenburo on the first floor, another onsen on the third floor, and a beautiful panoramic onsen on the ninth floor with an amazing view.
Everything exceeded my expectations, and I truly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable vacation.

Guest UserEverything was wonderful! The room had its own private plunge pool, and there were two outdoor hot springs that you could reserve for your group to enjoy without anyone else around. Dinner and breakfast were served in a traditional Japanese style, which felt very authentic. What really sets this ryokan apart is that the main dish for dinner is Hida beef from the region. The service was top-notch; everyone was so welcoming and kind. After checking in, you change into traditional attire, and the hotel provides everything else, right down to facial cream. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

The assigned room was not the one I booked. Instead of East Wing with a mountain view, I got assigned to South Wing, not sure if it is a mountain view but definitely not what I expected (I will attach a photo). But generally, I still had a fantastic experience there. The location is great for me because it is near Shinhotaka Ropeway. The open air onsen was beautiful, I liked it a lot, and went every night. The food was fantastic too! I am not well versed with Japanese food culture, but basically it was the traditional course meal (only dinner) you probably will have in a decent Japanese restaurant. I am a vegetarian, the hotel is prepared for my diet every breakfast and dinner. I must say I am really amazed with their food culture and knife skill. Their front desk was helpful with my needs too like a nail cutter, plaster etc.

I stayed here on a solo trip to hike the Nakasendo trail. The hotel offers a shuttle bus from the station, which made getting around very convenient. I booked a meal-inclusive plan, and both breakfast and dinner were served in a private room. All I had to do was show up at the designated time. The food was delicious! 😋 The room was clean, and being nestled in the mountains, it was wonderfully quiet with fresh air. 👍 The hot spring was also perfect for soothing my tired legs after hiking. Plus, for a hot spring ryokan, the value for money is excellent! I'd love to stay here again. Highly recommend! ❗️

SusannaGouwCheck in very convenient when we arrived about 8pm, the staff are very friendly, helpful and speaking English. Takayama Bus Center and JR Takayama station only 5 minutes walk. Check some day tour that available from Takayama Bus Center which is very easy to join. Many restaurants nearby and souvenir shops at the main street. Big room and more than enough space to put our 2 big luggage. A bit unstable hot water from the shower but overall is no complaint and we have a pleasant stay at this hotel.
