Romantic Hotels in Anhui, China

In April, I stayed at Baiyun with my mom for a night. The room is small and not soundproof (neighbors may be loud, but the hotel can provide earplugs), but it’s very comfortable, cozy, and clean. We got a room with a slanted roof, and a small sitting space near the window. The shower pressure is very good, and the water gets hot quickly. There’s even a bucket to soak your feet after hiking, and thick jackets and a flashlight for usage outside. The service is very attentive and courteous. When we arrived, staff 叶鹤菲 (Ye Hefei) showed us around the room, and later even gave us some gifts (some fruit, tea leaves, and local snacks). Via wechat, she sent us info on the hotel, weather and sunrise conditions. The buffet dinner was 160rmb, while breakfast buffet was included - pretty tasty with many options. It’s expensive, but understandable knowing that all the food has to be carried up through the hard work of manual labor. It takes a while to reach Baiyun Hotel from Yungu cable car, but it was worth it! You can see the sunrise from the nearby Aoyu Peak (~10-15min hike up) or Guangming Peak (~20-30min hike up, more tiring). At Aoyu Peak (which they recommended), I was able to see 云海 (sea of clouds), which was very beautiful. Hopefully the weather is good (the days before it was very foggy and cloudy, low visibility). Check in service was great upon arriving. They will give a large printed map and advise the route to take according to your preference. They added us on WeChat to update on all services available and sunrise info. Room was clean and signage saying tap water is portable from Huangshan spring. Boba tea's tapioca balls were powdery. Resources are difficult to carry up so maybe they served us overnight pearls. Food was not cheap but understandable. Breakfast was good with the traditional buns and soy bean drink etc. There is a walkway connected to the main building from the 2nd floor of blk B. Sunrise location changed to about 40min walk (one way) in Dec so it was steps and steps again on the second day morning but it's all worth it. Best communication from the helpful staff (in Chinese)

After walking across the whole mountain, i can safely say shillin had the most convenient location. Super friendly staff and fresh clean rooms. Even provided free utensils such as water and toothbrushes even though this was not promised due to the difficulty in transporting goods to the location. Went up to see the sunrise at the monkey peak which was amazing. Only minus is that the optional dinner was mid for a fairly high price, however this can be overlooked considering the circumstances!

Located at a very convenient location for our climb to 天都山. The coordinator Xu was really nice, helpful and informative. Introduced us to a good sunrise spot and even offered to help us move our luggage if we were checking out late(though we didn't need it in the end)! Service staff is professional and friendly but with limitations as compared to the other hotel we stayed up in the mountains. Just a little hopeful for more food options in the area so that we are not forced to eat buffet with our small stomach.

Clean and comfortable. Tunxi Old Street is just a block or two away. What stood out to me the most was the customer service. The people at the front desk were very warm and friendly. They noticed me standing outside in the cold for quite a bit after I checked out and assumed I needed assistance so one of them went outside to ask where I needed to go next. I was actually just waiting for my Didi but I appreciated the gesture. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice stay! Hot springs are definitely distinct for this hotel. Different springs with slightly different temperatures, great to relax. One lady spoke pretty good english and could help us with choosing hiking route and gave us a map. The breakfast is good. There is a laundry room with 2 wasching machines and dryer. Nice extra is the small tea set in the room. Extra tip, if you leave the hotel walk 100m to the left there is a very good restaurant (with yellow and red lights).

The room is a bit old, which is understandable because it is on the top of a mountain. But the service is very good. The lady is very enthusiastic and answers all your questions. You can watch the sunrise in the room and avoid the cold. If you are naked, you are already invincible.

We arrived in the bus from Huangshan north station and walked towards the town n after less than 5 mins we saw the Cheng Jin building. It was also opposite the shuttle bus into HS. Such a perfect location. Restaurants n supermarkets are everywhere. The tea inspired room triple beds we booked was amazing. It was beautifully designed with smart Chinese Siri called Xiao Ai which operates every electronic perfectly. The beds n pillows are so comfortable. It has a big screen TV. Comes with warm electronic Japanese style toilet. Breakfast was simple spread of food with everything u need. Love the porridge n the Pao. Owner n staff are very helpful n went through the hiking routes with us never provide raincoats. We left our luggage there for 2 nights. Definitely a good place to stay before your hike to Huangshan. .

Located inside the ancient village, within walking distance to POI, owner is friendly and attractive, even free upgrade our room to a newly build room and more convenient for in out access, he also offer pickup fron the entrance, btw is pickup ur luggage ya. 1 of thd must visit place if you plan to hike HuangShan i.e Yellow Mountain. Room come with all amenities Bed is comfortable!

The place was located on the main old street. Breakfast was solid for being Chinese (good baozi, good noodles...). The owners were attentive and the services they tried to sell you (in our case, a chauffeur) were reasonably priced. The bed and pillows were super comfy and the quilt as well... The only bad side was the bathroom cleanliness. There was a ball of hair on the shower corner. Big enough to be easily spotted. The WC itself had some stickers also like if hadn't been properly cleaned. If it wasn't for this the rest was perfect. PS you can tell they hired professional photographers for the pics. Everything looks a bit better on the photos. But it won't disappoint you.

I have to give a thumbs up to the boss. The service was very good. He helped us carry our suitcases to the hotel from the entrance of the scenic spot. He also arranged to connect to the WiFi. Choosing to stay at Zhang Mansion was the best decision for this trip to Huangshan. We had the front desk clerk Sweet, who updated our stay and a room cleaning lady May Zhang who helped us with our needs. Very thankful to their help! The outside garden design blends in with the surrounding mountains. They even have a petting zoo for visitors young and old. We dined in their Chinese restaurant the first night. The foods were good but I won't say exceptional. For two of us, it was way too much in food quantity for one order. We felt bad to waste food this way. Wish they have had smaller choices. But their breakfast is very impressive. And even though they are very close to Hong Village where the shuttle stops, they did not offer free shuttle which I think they should. The location of this so ideal for me. It was very peaceful and the room was facing the DiZhang Bodhisattva. I could do my prayer, meditation and connect with DiZhang Bodhisattva daily. The recption is friendly and helpful. The furnishing and the resort hotel facilities were old. The sound proof of the room was poor as you could hear some guests were talking and shouting. But luckily it was a low season. Local Chinese will flood these areas duing the Labor day (01-03 May) and their National day (01-07 Oct). Please avoid visiting duing these periods. High speed rail - Jiuhuashan station just completed. Use this station to access Jiuhuashan. Less than 30min to reach Jiuhua Mountain Dayuan Culture Park (九华山大愿文化园). Highly recommend to stay around the 九华山风景区柯村新区.
