Romantic Hotels in Beijing, China

Amazing stay, I would definitely recommend this hotel as one of the best I have ever stayed in. We were upgraded for our honeymoon and provided with a wonderful welcome decoration. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, service is impeccable. Room service 24h with great choices and quality. Important to highlight that all staff at reception speak English (I read some reviews where other were complaining about the missing English-speaking staff), so for sure the hotel has done a great step ahead in this sense to welcome more international guests. I would love to be back one day!

The hotel is relatively close to the city center. Taking a cap takes around 20 to 30 min to the forbidden city, which is quick depending on the traffic. The staff is very welcoming, although they don't speak English very well. Be prepared to use a translator. The hotel itself is clean and makes a very good impression. The room itself has air-conditioning, a nice balcony with a view to the neighborhood. Unfortunately the balcony light didn't work for our room, but I saw the others are just fine. We loved the bed and the shower. Really clean. Lights are all controllable from the bed. The TV has Chinese program and a collection of movies. It's not a smart TV unfortunately and we didn't manage to put in English subtitles. The toilet is a smart toilet and was really good. You get a free supply of water and some small tomatoes next to the elevator. They also supply your rook with bottles of water after cleaning (which happens daily!). Shout-out to the cleaning lady, she was so nice. Right next to the hotel there are many bars and restaurants, although more on the expensive side within a walk of 15 min. If you opt to go south from the hotel it takes a 10 min walk to reach some nice local restaurants, a pharmacy and a supermarket. We had the best night drinking and eating with locals there. Super friendly people in this neighborhood. If you want to call a Didi (cheap chinese taxi app) there are good locations around the hotel for dropoff and pickup even with luggage. I can really recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in Beijing.

Had a really wonderful time at CHAO. The rooms were really nice and well laid-out to enjoy the stay. Little touches really added overall to the feel of LUXE in the hotel. The service team was impeccable, always ready to help and friendly as my mandarin really isn't very good. Had room service and the meals were really delicious. They look exactly like the photo and tasted great. Location was great as its near to Taikoo Li Malls with plenty of local eats in the area.

Choosing Mercure Hotel as my resting place is the right choice! The thoughtful and meticulous service makes me feel grateful. It makes my rest time warm and comfortable! I am very satisfied. The enthusiastic service of Xiaochao at the front desk makes me feel very kind! I look forward to staying at Mercure Tongzhou Universal Resort again to share a good time.

No English spoken here. Basic Chinese level is enough. Concept law news and room is really cute and looks like pictures. Location is a 15 min walk to line 8 subway. No breakfast. Hotel does have washer and dryer. Suitable for short term travel. If it’s your first time in Beijing maybe not very suitable as there is nothing touristy around and may be hard to navigate more local restaurants.

This hotel is a small germ if you consider your stay at Beijing. Yes, it is a bit outside of the main city but the traffic connections towards the inner parts of Beijing is still reasonable. It is a rather quiet place to have a couple of days with the focus on relaxing when you have only a few things to do in Beijing. The set-up with a kind of traditional house structure - only two floors, square shaped outlying of the building, provides a rather friendly and easy to go feeling. The facilities are well maintained and the fountains in the central yard provide a nice addition together with the hot spring tubes. The surrounding of the artificial lake provides a nice atmosphere. Some visitors may regret that the area surrounding the hotel does not offer much. The stuff are well trained and carry out their tasks with the friendliness expected from a hotel at this level. I summary, I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a couple of relaxing days if you have to stay in Beijing and do not have a busy schedule at the same time.

During the May Day holiday, my husband and I came to experience the most expensive hotel in China - Qianmen Mandarin Oriental, and the experience was great! This time we stayed in the Zun Shang Courtyard. The room was very large and comfortable. There was a courtyard floor-to-ceiling window in the room. When the sun came in, the whole room was very bright and transparent. There was nothing to criticize about the butler service. The service was very considerate. Basically, as long as we had a need, the butler would do it~ Special thanks to Ethan for his help, which made me feel warm and at home~ The breakfast was also very delicious. There were not many varieties but the quality was great~ It was really healing to start the day with a beautiful breakfast every morning~ I have been a loyal fan of MO for many years. In short, Qianmen Mandarin Oriental MO is worth it!

This is a good budget option if you want to stay overnight near Gubei Watertown - but there are serious limitations. It was very confusing and quite stressful when we first arrived at the location provided - we couldn’t find the address given, but a local lady was very helpful and called the owners/managers for us and then a driver came to collect us. The address given is a meeting point, not the location of where you are actually staying. It was as we were driven to the 2 apartments (not rooms in an individual villa) that I realised we were not staying in or right at the Watertown as I thought we were. It was a 5-10 minute drive away. To be clear the managers were very friendly and always available on WeChat and the driver took us to and from the Watertown whenever we liked so that was fine - but it means you have to pay entry every time you enter the Watertown - which is expensive - so just take that cost into account. There also didn’t seem to be anywhere to eat at the apartment complex either but perhaps we couldn’t find it (it was a huge complex) so I recommend you eat before you go or take (especially breakfast) food with you. I booked two rooms with a view. One room had a GREAT view of the Great wall (photo included) and the other looked at nondescript trees and grass the other direction. Mainly I went on this special trip with my older parents to Gubei so it was disappointing that we weren’t really staying together in a villa - we were in a giant apartment building on separate floors.

The town that cures sleep In the morning, I woke up with the song of birds and stayed in this homestay. It was like breaking into a slow time. I was awakened by the sun in the morning and fell asleep with the starry sky at night. Every corner is hidden with gentle details~ I will come to be an ”idle person” next time! The small town is a blockbuster, the bedding is comfortable and clean, I don't want to move when I lie down, and I feel particularly at ease. The room is spacious and bright, warm and homey, every place is just right, you can see the distant mountains, the high-looking distance from the station, and the safety is also marked with tips, very careful. The housekeeper is online 24 hours a day, the service attitude is particularly good, even the surrounding cold play is in place, lazy holiday ceiling! It's a lingering place... The boss also gave a discount intimately

Facilities: Very new, very advanced, especially the circulating constant temperature function of the outdoor bath is very useful, no need to worry about the problem of running water too early and causing the water to be cold when soaking, or running water too late and the water being too hot to soak. Hygiene: It is very clean and tidy. It is very good that the outdoor bath can be clean to this extent. Especially in Beijing, it has been windy and rainy recently, and the dust is flying. The cleaning staff worked hard. Environment: A rare hotel environment with scenery, mountains and water, and there are many koi and turtles, which is very suitable for a walk after dinner. Service: Very good and considerate. They are responsive to every request, which is very good. Items: The furnishings in the house are very tasteful, and the purchase is very good. The bedding is also very good! The most comfortable hotel I have ever slept in!
