Service: Absolutely fantastic! I have to give a special shout-out to the front desk attendant who helped me. She was incredibly patient, kind, and friendly. It had been months since my last visit, but she still remembered me, which made me feel so welcome and warm. I'll definitely be back! Thumbs up! Hygiene: Pretty good. Environment: Convenient location and a nice atmosphere. Facilities: Pretty good, and very well-equipped!

I chose this hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday, and it was absolutely stunning! Watching the underwater world from our room was incredibly dreamy. Our private butler started coordinating with my birthday planner two weeks before check-in, cooperating fully, arranging gifts, and even asking about my husband's preferences to prepare a surprise cake and a huge bouquet. Besides assisting the planner, the butler also decorated our bed. To my surprise, they even prepared an underwater birthday message, which I had initially planned to arrange myself – another lovely surprise from the butler! We also had a beluga whale interaction, and my husband, while diving, specifically arranged to interact with me through our room's glass panel. In short, their service was outstanding, fulfilling every request! The breakfast spread was so abundant it couldn't fit on one table. Upon departure, they even arranged a car to take us to our next hotel, which was incredibly thoughtful. P.S. The gigantic osteoglossid fish was amazing! 🐟

Hotel near Ocean Flower Island,Danzhou 59.7% of visitors choose this area
MMaotaikun 2026.03.18
February 21, 2026 – Stayed in a Sea View Family Room During our Spring Festival trip to the western side of Hainan, Ocean Flower Island was a crucial stop. We planned a two-night stay and, for convenience, chose the highly acclaimed Oubao Hotel on the island. 1. **Parking:** If you're driving, you can directly access the island and navigate to the Oubao Hotel. There's an underground parking lot, and if it's full, staff can direct you to other nearby parking areas. For those leaving the island, you can register at the front desk in advance to enjoy free parking. 2. **Hotel:** The hotel is massive in scale. The majestic lion sculptures and fountain outside the main entrance are grand, especially at night with the interwoven lighting, it feels like entering another world. It boasts the most single-unit guest rooms in Asia, composed of four interconnected Y-shaped European castles, each with a unique natural theme: forest, ocean, castle, and glacier. Our room was in the Glacier Castle, with corridors and rooms featuring a blue and white palette and abundant glacier and animal elements. The ground floors of the four castles connect to form the hotel lobby and check-in area. The space is vast, with a cathedral-like glass dome ceiling. In the center below, there was a festive New Year display, a vibrant and joyful scene. On one side of the lobby, two grand, symmetrical spiral staircases descend from the second floor, one white and one red, both adorned with flowers, creating a noble and elegant photo spot. The lobby has four exits, each leading to a different castle. After checking in at the front desk, you choose your path based on your room. Each castle has over ten elevators. The entire process left me with one impression: grandness! 3. **Room:** Both the main room and the bathroom were very spacious. It had one large bed and one smaller bed; the small bed, shaped like a train engine, was a nice touch, and the bedding was comfortable. The room's decor and configuration were quite simple and standard, but the glacier theme, with polar bear and penguin elements everywhere, added a refreshing touch. The shower was good, and it was quite rare that the shower enclosure hardly leaked. The window faced the sea, but there was a garden green belt between the castles, so the sea was distant and not a spectacular, unobstructed view. However, we were lucky enough to catch the sunset on our check-in day. The afterglow of the sunset painted the sea, fishing boats, bridge, and villa complex in our view a beautiful reddish hue. This combination and visual experience were stunning and definitely a plus. 4. **Breakfast:** The breakfast restaurant had palace-like high ceilings and space, arranged in a long strip, which made the food retrieval path a bit inefficient. The dishes were abundant and diverse, with local specialties. During our two-day stay, we sampled Hainan Yi noodles, Hou'an noodles, coffee cake, coconut cake, pumpkin cake, and other local delicacies. My elder child loved the Hou'an noodles so much she had two bowls every morning. The dessert selection was also very rich. 5. **Other Facilities and Offers:** During our two-day stay, we experienced the following: On the first evening, we attended a music festival and firework show at the Guanhai Park, with discounted tickets for hotel guests. There's a free bus shuttle near the hotel entrance that goes to places like the Ocean Park and the Fitness Center. We took this shuttle on the second day to swim at the Fitness Center. The hotel's own pool was unavailable, but we could use the Fitness Center's pool for free. It's a standard 50-meter lap pool, and it was my first time experiencing such a pool. There's also a mini-train station on the island not far from the hotel entrance, but we didn't use it. 6. **Service:** All the staff we encountered were very responsible and professional, indicating a high level of overall training. In summary, it was a truly perfect stay, making it a top choice for accommodation when visiting Ocean Flower Island. Besides meeting basic needs for food, entertainment, and lodging, it also offered a sense of grandeur that is quite rare.

After our trip to Shimei Bay, we arrived at the hotel with my entire family, including young children and elderly parents, along with several large suitcases. We were understandably quite tired from the journey. Upon arrival, it was clear that the hotel had a significant shortage of staff both inside and outside the lobby – a stark contrast to Shimei Bay, where service personnel were readily available everywhere. Although there weren't many guests checking in at the time, and the scene wasn't particularly busy, given our large group and numerous bags, I had to proactively request a luggage cart to make things easier. For a resort hotel that prides itself on the guest experience, the initial service response would be much better if it were more proactive and if staffing levels were more adequate. Regarding the room, the promotional pictures I saw when booking showed a sea-facing view with a visible beach. However, the actual view from our room was quite different from what we expected. While we could see the sea in the distance, our primary view was of the hotel's pool area, and the beach wasn't visible at all. The visual impression didn't match the promotional images. During the Chinese New Year period, the hotel organized various activities, some free and some with a charge, which is understandable. However, it was quite surprising to find that even digging for sand crabs on the public beach area required an additional fee. Compared to the hotel we stayed at previously in Shimei Bay, the activity planning here was indeed a bit lackluster. On the bright side, the breakfast was excellent. There was a rich variety of options, especially the Pandan Tofu Pudding, Pandan Pancakes, and various Hainan noodles. These were not only distinctive but also delicious, adding a wonderful culinary delight to our mornings. What truly impressed us was the mature food scene around the hotel. From Coconut Chicken, Wenchang Chicken, Ding'an Jumping Beef (which can be hotpot or BBQ), Baoluo Noodles, Hainan Noodles, to all sorts of desserts and snacks – the choices were incredibly diverse. This added a lot of local flavor and memorable gastronomic experiences to our trip. The hotel's beach area itself was quite good. The sea breeze, sand quality, and the overall experience were very relaxing and comfortable.

I really love Sanya, and this hotel was fantastic! It was clean, well-equipped, and the environment was beautiful. The service was excellent; they provided airport transfers and even made us drinks. My friend and I both loved it. The hygiene was top-notch, the setting was absolutely stunning, and the service was wonderful. I'll definitely be back!

This hotel boasts an unbeatable location, incredibly close to the sea. Positioned in the prime spot of Yalong Bay, it's just a 50-meter stroll downstairs to a private beach with gentle slopes and crystal-clear water. Complimentary sun loungers and umbrellas are a nice touch. Within a 5-minute walk, you'll reach Baihuagu and Dongrong Food Street, and Yalong Bay Station is a quick 15-minute taxi ride away, making both getting around and finding food super convenient. Packed with family-friendly and entertainment facilities, there's something for everyone. For families: There's a massive indoor kids' club, a pet park, a mini-train, and daily, rotating children's activities (crafts, bubble shows, and interaction with the Dingdong family). They also provide free cots, bed rails, and children's toiletries, making traveling with kids a breeze. For adults: Enjoy the heated pool, Fun Motion surfing, an aerial ocean-view zip line, and jet skis. Evenings are lively with pool parties, M Show performances, and beach bonfires, creating a fantastic atmosphere. Spacious rooms with excellent sea views. The rooms are a good size, and high-floor sea-view rooms feature large balconies, offering stunning views of the gradient blue ocean. You can enjoy the sea view from bed or the balcony. The bedding is comfortable, and the bathrooms come with large bathtubs, a Laifen hairdryer, and premium toiletries – thoughtful details that make a difference. Warm service and a wide range of dining options. The front desk, concierge, and room service are all quick to respond and incredibly attentive. For breakfast, there are two restaurants (Haitang Restaurant and Pinju Hainan Restaurant) offering a full spread of Chinese, Western, and Hainanese flavors. Plus, there's the Neon Bay Seaview Restaurant and a poolside BBQ, so you don't even need to leave the hotel for great food. MGM stands out as a highly cost-effective, all-rounder resort in Yalong Bay, winning guests over with its superb location, abundant entertainment, and thoughtful family services. While the rooms might show some age and it can get a bit crowded and noisy, these minor flaws are easily overshadowed. If you're looking for a one-stop, relaxing getaway, a hands-free vacation with the kids, and a lively atmosphere, this is an excellent choice.

This is one of those hotels I *had* to leave a glowing review for. Honestly, given the price, I wasn't expecting much, and Wyndham hasn't always impressed me in the past. But from the moment I stepped out of the car, Mr. He from the concierge team rushed over to open the door and help with my luggage, greeting me so warmly. When I mentioned wanting to go to the gym, he even took me there to show me around first. And then there were Xiao Jun at the front desk and Raja from India – their service was absolutely outstanding, so professional and enthusiastic. These were just three staff members I encountered, but everyone else was equally excellent. The location is also top-notch, right by the sea, and the cleanliness is great too. Purely from an experience perspective, it felt no different from hotels I've stayed at costing thousands a night. Definitely the best hotel in Wenchang, no competition.

Traveling with a little one meant we didn't want to rush, so we booked a hotel right by the beach in Tianya Town. To my surprise, our balcony offered direct ocean views, and the beach was just downstairs! 🏖️ The hotel also boasts a sea-view restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood 🦞, and a massive infinity pool right by the ocean – absolutely stunning. Our room had that trendy 'ins cream style' which I loved for its minimalist yet luxurious design, perfect for taking lots of beautiful photos! The room was spotless and well-kept. Since we had a child, we frequently requested extra blankets and water, and the butler service was incredibly quick to respond. Truly thoughtful!

I cannot begin to describe how good this place is! First of all, they kindly gave us a free upgrade as there was building happening beneath our room and I’m allergic to dust. It must of been the nicest place we have ever stayed. They told us we had a Butler and Eason our Butler added us on WeChat. I thought ‘whatever would we need a butler for?’ Well I had a headache and he ordered and delivered medication then we ordered takeaway twice off Dianaping app and he translated and ordered it for us. Even when the pool towels had run out, he had some delivered to us at the pool! Incredible! The buffet breakfast was perfect every day for 6 days too! We liked walking to the night market, on the path by the water, and we ate at the nearby basic cheap restaurants. The convenience store at the bottom of the building is great too. Also, there’s a proper gym right there that is free to go to if staying at the hotel and it has a squat rack with 20kg bar. 100% recommend.

We stayed at the Gathering Villa, and aside from the many steps being a bit of a workout, everything else was great. The room was very clean, and there weren't as many mosquitoes as I'd imagined (though I did see a few, I think the repellent in the room worked because I didn't get bitten). I slept very comfortably at night and woke up to a rich chorus of bird songs in the morning. The sunset and live band performance at the Thai restaurant were a delightful surprise! The butler service was excellent; they arranged for someone to help with our luggage, which was a huge relief. Beyond that, the entire resort's service was top-notch; you could really feel their customer-centric approach. If you're coming to Bird's Nest Forest Park, I highly recommend staying at this hotel for a significantly enhanced overall experience.

The most memorable destination. I had traveled to in the past 10 years, Sanya, Earthly Paradise Bird's Nest Resort surprised me, a paradise on earth, I was blown away with such a beautiful experience. Starting from the facilities and ending with the most beautiful sunsets I had ever seen. Friendly start always ready to cater to your needs a very clean resort in a tropical Forrest, admirable the work of the staff. A special thanks to Mannager Sun for her help all the way through our stay at the resort. Definitely, we had found a place where to celebrate our good times, an every year celebration for our family from now on. P.S. we celebrated our engagement 💍 this time on at the resort.

The hotel building itself is a little bit aged and older but besides that, everything else was beyond excellent! Our e-butler Lucas Ji gone above and beyond. Whenever we had a question about anything, he replied instantaneously!! Rather it is hotel related or simply just asking for directions. The breakfast buffet was the best among our multiple cities trip. Food selections and taste were excellent. Services was again among the best we experienced on our trip. Our son loved the children playroom and the daily activity session. When asked, he reply with we should stay another 2 days before we left Sanya. Would highly recommend to family and friends and also hope to return in the near future !

Service was fantastic, hotel wasn't for me because I'm a solo traveller and the hotel is more for families. If you are a family definitely stay at this hotel as it is amazing for young children! Food was excellent, location was a little far from the main town of Sanya. Would have liked more beach chair options. The gym was fantastic and staff were very helpful. Fantastic trip all together.

I recently stayed at this amazing hotel and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and attentive service. The ambiance was elegant, and my room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and equipped with all the modern amenities I needed. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any requests. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of delicious options to start my day. The location was also perfect, with easy access to local attractions and transport. The hotel facilities and pool, were top-notch. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and quality service. I can't wait to return!

Very good hotel with high quality amenities and service. Breakfast options were also plentiful and we stayed for 3 nights and yet we still didnt manage to try everything. There is a private beach area but you cant swim due to the strong waves. One important mistake I made was there are 2 Sheratons, one at Haitang Bay and another at Yalong Bay. We went to the wrong hotel at first and had to book a taxi again to go to the correct one. At check in, there were also a few ladies that went to the wrong hotel as well. So for those booking, just make sure you go to the right one on the day.

First time in Hainan and first time back to visit China since 2004! Coming from London and New York, and having stayed in many hotels all over the world, we are truly impressed with the Atlantis and its facilities and amenities - most pleasantly surprised by impeccable cleanliness of the rooms and the public areas of the hotel. The ocean view from the balcony of the room is also fantastic. We have discovered that it is not that straight forward to be a tourist in China (mainly getting onto payment systems, getting local sims, making sure our devices work etc), having a ”butler” assigned to us out proved to be so so helpful - we received the friendliest and most thorough guidance from Elena. When we needed help in a bit of health emergency for my child, she was very responsive even though not on duty that day. The medical staff on duty in the hotel clinic, Miss Wu, was also most patient and obliging. In fact, all the staff in the hotel are trying their best to deliver world class service. The breakfast buffet is a massive spread with a huge variety, though in general it is quantity over quality (nevertheless we must say that the roast duck was done quite well). We only went to Ossiano for drinks but we could tell the cuisine would be exceptional from the complimentary amuse-bouche. There are of course some differences from a comparable grade hotel experience elsewhere - notably, the more than usual sharing of hotel facilities with non-hotel guests is something we are not used to. Apart from many non-hotel guests in the lobby and other public areas posing for photos, they can also pay to use the hotel swimming pools. There are a number of staff in public areas who work on commission to sell activities (shows, helicopter rides, photo shoots), which is also something less common elsewhere. Lastly, if you can figure it out on the chinese payment apps (thank goodness we have teenagers), it is quite fun to rent one of those pink bear electric Vespas and go up and down the strip.
