This is an excellent hotel! It's conveniently located with many restaurants nearby. The breakfast spread is amazing, and the service staff even brought us some homemade eight-treasure porridge. It was a very pleasant stay, truly feeling the warmth of Zhangjiajie. It's also right opposite the A line.

This hotel is located on Chaozong Street, just a short walk through an underpass to Guojin Street. I didn't want to stay on Guojin Street because it's too noisy. It's about 500 meters from Wuyi Square metro station. I searched for ages on Ctrip and Qunar to find this hotel, and to my surprise, everything exceeded my expectations. Within 100 meters, you can find Heytea and various snacks. This is a local Hunan hotel, not a national chain, but the designer's skill is exceptional: every detail is thoughtful and well-designed, with beautiful views at every turn. Every part of the hotel, including the corners of the room, is perfect for photos. The room was spotlessly clean, with no dust. The facilities are excellent too. After walking 35,000 steps on the first day, I was exhausted. When I showered, I found the showerhead provided really comfortable, relaxing water. The water temperature was stable, and the hot water came out super fast. And the mattress – you have to try it to believe it. I booked a projector room, and listening to music and watching MVs was so relaxing; I fell asleep very quickly. I also want to praise the electric kettle. I usually bring my own, but I didn't this time and was worried. However, I found their kettle lid could be opened, so I could clean it thoroughly before using it. This solved my need for hot water in winter. The breakfast was plentiful, with local options, so I didn't even need to bother buying anything from the walking street outside. Every aspect of this hotel was thoughtful and satisfying, and Sisi provided excellent service. After redeeming my Ctrip points, the room cost 280 yuan. For this price, a national chain hotel would definitely be subpar, but as a local hotel, it was incredibly satisfying. I even want to visit Changsha again just for this hotel, haha! My child even asked, ”Is this hotel only in Changsha? We're so satisfied!” Finally, the recommendations for restaurants in the guide the hotel gave me were very reliable. I skipped the网红 (influencer-hyped) restaurants and opted for places locals frequent, which was a good decision.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our family room was very spacious, more than enough room for our whole family without feeling cramped at all. The front desk offers free luggage storage, which was super convenient. The subway station is right outside the door, making it really easy to get around, and it's close to Wanjiali Plaza and Yangfan Night Market. The breakfast was also delicious. My family was very satisfied with our stay, and the overall experience was fantastic!

Location: The hotel's location is excellent! You can see the hotel sign right after exiting Metro Line Xiangjiang Middle Road Station (Exit 2A), and it's just a short walk through the underpass, which is super convenient. It's only one stop to Juzizhou Island, two stops to the East Gate of Yuelu Mountain, and within walking distance to Wenheyou, Du Fu Jiang Ge, Huangxing Square, and Pozi Street. Plus, there's no need for transfers to get to Changsha Station or Changsha South! There are also breakfast noodle shops and Hunan restaurants nearby. Ambiance: From the upper floors, you can enjoy river views. It was foggy for the past two days, but just as I was leaving, the fog cleared, and I was lucky enough to see Juzizhou Island and the river view in both clear and misty weather – it was beautiful!👍 Facilities: I stayed in a Chinese-style room, which had a separate wet and dry area. Everything I needed was provided, and the bedding was very comfortable😊. Service: There were quite a few guests, but the front desk lady was always patient and greeted everyone with a smile. The platform also communicated my booking requests to the hotel, which I appreciate!

I have to commend this hotel for its exceptional service, where every detail shows thoughtfulness. My elderly companion has limited mobility, so the front desk specially arranged a low-floor room and even adjusted the room temperature in advance. During breakfast, a staff member immediately came over to clean up after my child accidentally knocked over some cutlery, and proactively offered new cutlery and food, all with great patience and care. When we returned to our room in the evening, we found the bedding neatly tidied and the toiletries in the bathroom replenished. The overall service made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable, without any sense of formality. The environment was also very quiet and cozy. It was a truly pleasant stay.

The room was lovely, and my kids absolutely loved it! The location is super convenient too, with a subway station right downstairs. We also enjoyed the delicious local dishes at 'Pang Dong Gua Liuyang Cuisine' located just below the hotel. Plus, 'Zisu Taozi' and 'Good Mooning' are just across the street, adding to the convenience.

The night before, I booked the Hilton Changsha Shimao through the Hilton platform, and the experience was utterly terrible. The soundproofing was awful. I was woken up at 3 AM by noise from the hallway and didn't sleep a wink all night, ending up with a pounding headache. First thing in the morning, I rebooked at the InterContinental via Trip.com. Miss Anna Jiang at the front desk was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely warm. I was so touched! She walked me to the elevator, introduced me to the hotel facilities and restaurants. She even pre-warned me that the river view rooms are near the elevators and to let them know if I experienced any noise so I could switch rooms. The concierge staff were also very proactive and helpful; I really appreciate their assistance. Although the hotel's hardware facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean. The room view was lovely, overlooking the delta where the Liuyang River and Xiang River converge. There's a direct passage to the adjacent shopping malls (Beichenhui/Joy City), making dining and shopping very convenient. Breakfast here has the best Western pastries among all the international brand hotels I've stayed at in the past few months. It really suited my preferences, and the coffee was made with an espresso machine. There were also plenty of Chinese options, including rice noodles, but the texture wasn't quite to my liking; they were a bit too thick. Before checking out, I realized I'd left a ring in the room. I called, and they informed me it had already been found and sent to the concierge. It was perfect timing as I was just returning from visiting the Changsha Museum and picked it up on my way back. Oh, and right across from the hotel are the 'Three Museums and One Hall,' which are within walking distance. For food deliveries, you have to pick them up from external lockers, which is understandable and acceptable to me.

This was my first time in Changsha, and I stumbled upon this hotel while searching. Seeing many positive reviews and clean-looking photos, I booked three nights directly. Upon check-in, I found everything to be consistent with the pictures and comments – the environment was tidy and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Yuanpeiqiao Metro Station. It wasn't until I checked out on the last day that I discovered there's a dedicated hotel elevator that goes straight to the lobby (pictured in image one, just past Lawson). Although there are only three elevators to the upper floors, requiring a short wait, it was perfectly acceptable for me. The room was clean, and the bed was very soft; I personally found it incredibly comfortable for sleeping. Sitting on the chair, I could watch the sunset, which felt wonderful and very therapeutic. I didn't get to experience the hotel's other facilities this time (it got cold during my stay, so it was just too chilly 😂), and I didn't book breakfast because there were plenty of convenient food options nearby. However, other guests' reviews seemed positive, so I'd like to try them next time. The soundproofing isn't perfect, and there's a small gap in the curtains, but the hotel thoughtfully provided an eye mask and earplugs, so it didn't bother me much. Overall, my stay was very satisfying, so I gave it a five-star rating and genuinely recommend it! They also have river-view rooms, which I imagine offer even better views – I definitely want to try one next time if I get the chance.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the heart of Wuyi Square, making transportation super convenient. The room layout is beautiful, and the host keeps everything spotlessly clean. I personally found the soundproofing to be excellent, and having independent Wi-Fi in the room with a strong signal was a big plus. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. They were great at recommending local food and beautiful scenic spots. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Changsha!

GGuest UserExceptional Stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel My recent three-night stay at Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel was absolute perfection! The second I walked in, the front desk team welcomed me warmly and finished check-in in minutes—no tedious waiting at all. My room was impeccably clean, with a plush bed that had me sleeping soundly each night. Waking up to the faint view of Zhangjiajie’s lush mountains through the window was a lovely surprise, and the room’s quietness made it ideal for relaxing after day trips. The breakfast buffet shone with fresh options, from crispy pastries to hearty hot dishes, and the coffee was always smooth. What truly made this stay unforgettable was Service Steward Xiao Yu—he remembered my preference for early breakfast, helped arrange a timely taxi to the scenic area, and even left a note with local snack recommendations. I’ll 100% book Zhangjiajie Sunshine Hotel again on my next trip and can’t recommend it enough—especially if you get to be assisted by Xiao Yu!

GGuest UserExcellent value for money, five-star recommendation! This hotel is truly worth every penny! It's easy to find, and parking is convenient. It's very close to the scenic spots, and the room is larger than I expected. The facilities are new, and the shower has great water pressure and heats up quickly. The mattress is just right, not too soft and not too hard, so I slept really well. The staff proactively greet guests, which made me feel very welcome. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in the area.

Ttianbian****First off, I have to say, this is the best hotel experience I've had domestically. The views are incredible, directly overlooking Tianmen Mountain. My flight landed at midnight, but the butler patiently picked me up. At one point, I wanted to grab a bite and invited the butler to join me, but they politely declined, saying they had other guests to pick up. I really appreciate such a responsible staff member. I'm very satisfied with the hotel's facilities; I didn't encounter any cleanliness issues that some negative reviews mentioned. Perhaps that's more common during peak season. I visited during the off-season, and it happened to be a clear, sunny day, so the 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop was absolutely stunning. I imagine those who had a less-than-ideal experience probably visited on a cloudy day, which might make the hotel appear dated. Also, reading some of those negative reviews in the comments section genuinely made my head spin – are we even talking about the same hotel? For the price you paid, to get a hotel like this, shouldn't you be thrilled? If you're going to complain about everything, maybe don't travel at all. Seriously, I rarely find such a unique hotel in China. The last time I stayed at a hotel that was this delightful and relaxing was in Guilin, but that cost 1600 RMB. Honestly, if you manage to book this hotel, you should be secretly celebrating!

GGuest UserThe hotel is run by siblings. All three owners were very friendly, helpful, and placed great emphasis on service. We were picked up from the airport free of charge. We stayed for three days. During this time, the hotel owners recommended the most beautiful hiking routes in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain and obtained all the necessary tickets for us. Although the owners spoke very little English, communication went very well thanks to their excellent translation tools. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The owners also gave us great tips for restaurants in the area. The rooms are beautifully designed, large, and clean. We had to leave very early in the morning, before breakfast. But we were given a very tasty and filling packed lunch for the journey. We would like to thank the owners once again for the wonderful stay and the great service. We can highly recommend this hotel. It was a lovely stay.

GGuest UserThe best reception in any resort I have ever gotten! Mainly Cherry received us very warmly, guided us, produced us with a lot of helpful tips and tricks. The room we stayed in was the Watery B one, very spacious, nice bathtub and very clean. Location-wise they provide you with free shuttles to the train station, Natural Park (Avatar) & Glass Bridge. The food in the Chinese hotel was nice, with a very talented singer, Monica. The owner of the hotel is very warm, curious and smart person. Altogether, we felt home there and will 100% return!

GGuest UserThis hotel went above and beyond during my stay. Rain who first greeted us was helpful from the very beginning of the stay until the very end. The hotel provided a detailed route for the Zhangjiajie National Park and even provided transportation to the park and pick up once completed. In addition they assisted with the luggage during check in and check out. If flying or riding into Zhangjiajie, the hotel does offer setting up transportation to and from the hotel if needed at a very reasonable fee. The hotel offered a buffet breakfast and complimentary tea with the tea master, who was also amazing at making the stay feel very welcoming. Once the tea master and Rain found out it was my birthday they made my day one to remember. The tea master wrote me a congratulatory calligraphy scroll and set up a cake with Rain to be given to me as well. The hotel also offered activities every evening. On the day I was able to attend, they taught me how to make peach cookies which was so fun and delicious. The tea master also showed us how to do calligraphy while we waited for the cookies to be baked. Rain set up a Wechat with the staff where I was able to conveniently pre order dinner, which was super delicious. My favorite was the eggplant with pork. I can't express in enough words how everyone here made the stay the most enjoyable. For anyone visiting Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could have spent more nights here to enjoy the entire resort such as the heated pool and sunset terrace.

AAllenguoguoAfter years of staying in hotels on our trips, we decided to try a guesthouse this time, and it was a fantastic experience! The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable. Our accommodation was a beautiful Xiangxi stilt house, set in a lovely environment. Surrounded by mountains, the scenery was stunning. It was quiet, safe, and even had an outdoor swimming pool, which the kids absolutely loved. We could also take the little ones fishing, prawning, and feeding cats – truly perfect for families! All the food served was home-grown and home-raised by the owner. The local free-range chicken was delicious, and the cured pork hock was also excellent. They prepared the Sanxiaguo dish exactly to our liking, adjusting it to our preferences. The ingredients were fresh, clean, and completely trustworthy. Plus, the courtyard dining area offered wonderful views. For a trip, you really can't beat a place with such a wonderful, peaceful, and relaxing environment. What's more, it's conveniently located not far from the Zhangjiajie Scenic Area, just about a twenty-minute drive away. Giving this guesthouse a perfect 100% rating!

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is highly, highly recommended! The service is outstanding. As soon as I booked, a staff member contacted me to ask about my needs and help plan my itinerary. At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about the Forest Park and hadn't done any research; I just wanted to secure accommodation first and figure out the rest later. But the guesthouse staff organized everything perfectly for me. Even before I arrived, they were considering all the details. I was traveling with my mom and child, so I tend to be quite cautious, worried about this and that. Turns out, the guesthouse thought of everything; they were even more meticulous than I was! They really boosted my spirits, so I ended up not looking at any guides at all. The guesthouse staff arranged all my tickets and shows. When we got off the high-speed train, a staff member was there to pick us up. At the guesthouse, we met the lovely狒狒 (Feifei). She was incredibly patient, explaining every evening how to get around and what to do the next day, drawing routes on a map for me, and advising on what to bring. The guesthouse is directly opposite 'Charming Xiangxi' and a taxi to the main entrance (标志门) costs 6 yuan. If you don't want to take a taxi, it's just over a ten-minute walk. I took a taxi to the scenic area every morning, and walked back in the evening. My child loved walking by the water on the way back, and there were many roadside stalls to browse. I originally planned to stay there for three nights to visit the Forest Park, and then move to the city for Tianmen Mountain. But my mom said she was so comfortable and happy there, she didn't want to change, so we extended our stay for another night. The next day, Feifei arranged for us to be dropped off directly at the entrance of Tianmen Mountain. Feifei's itinerary was truly excellent; we never had to wait in long queues, and the weather was also incredibly cooperative. The forecast predicted rain every day, but we didn't get a single drop – it was sunny all the time! We explored every part of the Forest Park, and both my mom and child had an amazing time. Two thumbs up for them! The guesthouse also has adorable cats, and my son spent every day cuddling them. Plus, there were daily treats from the host!

GGuest UserGreat location, close to the iconic Snow bridge 雪桥, where the hustle and bustle is. There's alot of bar/karaoke downstairs, but the volume lower down by midnight. Owners were very prompt with replying via WeChat, with any questions or map, helped us with booking the ticket combo of 8 sight seeing spots and boat ride, cheaper than the counter. Took a cab from the railway station (for 25yuan) to the designated parking spot, and the owner came to pick us, helped us with our luggage to go through the ancient town. Overall very good stay and we had a memorable time here in Fenghuang. The picture is our view from the balcony.
