Romantic Hotels in Shandong, China

I originally booked this hotel in Yantai just for a layover before taking a ferry, and I never expected it to be so fantastic! The first reaction from my four friends when we entered the room was, ”Wow, this is so luxurious, like a presidential suite!” There was even a game console in the room, making it perfect for families with kids. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness was impeccable, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The front desk staff, both the young lady and the older woman, had excellent service attitudes. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Yantai.

The hotel's overall decor is luxurious and grand, with a European classical style that feels very warm and comfortable. The service at check-in was excellent; they proactively guided me to my room. However, I was not satisfied with the room facilities. The hand towel by the sink was severely damaged, and there was a chip on the edge of the bathtub, posing a safety hazard. On the other hand, the sleeping area in the room was a very pleasant experience. The bathroom having its own independent air conditioning system is a feature many hotels lack, which was a nice touch. The breakfast experience was particularly bad – messy and completely lacking in management and service. In terms of decor and luxury, the hotel certainly meets five-star standards. However, in terms of management and service, it falls short of even mid-range chain hotels.

Second time staying at this hotel. The breakfast is excellent and is the best part of the trip. The staff are also accommodating. It’s hard to communicate but as long as you have the translation app on your phone, it will work out. However, the amenities of the hotel is on the older side. They need to update it to become more modern. Bring your own toiletries as the ones they have are drying on the skin and hair. The air-conditioning was not working properly. Though they tried to fix it by wheeling in a portable AC. It still ran hot most days.

An absolutely amazing stay that exceeded all expectations! The location is superb, and the breakfast restaurant offers incredible, unobstructed sea views – it was wonderful to enjoy breakfast while gazing at the ocean. We were upgraded to a city view king room, which was a generous 50 square meters and even had a partial sea view as an added bonus. The room itself was fully equipped with smart electric curtains, a smart toilet, and a shower with great water pressure – very comfortable. I especially appreciated the ample seating: in addition to a chaise lounge, there was a desk chair, a regular armchair, and a stool. Many hotels only provide one chair, so this was a thoughtful touch. Even the small details were great, like tissues by the elevators. The staff were all incredibly attentive and proactive in offering assistance. A special shout-out to Daisy Ding Xiaoqing, who helped with our check-in and upgrade. She even followed up with us via WeChat to ensure all our needs were met, provided valuable feedback, and gave us fantastic recommendations for Qingdao attractions and restaurants. The weather in Qingdao was perfect during our stay. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely choose the Hyatt Regency again next time I'm in Qingdao. Five stars!

The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities and beautiful surroundings. The service attitude was exceptionally good. There are many attractions nearby, and the staff was particularly nice. The sea is right outside the door, which is super great! You can also go clam digging in front, making it very suitable for a family trip.

Loved the apartment - was big, bright and clean. Beds were extra comfy and the temprature control was excellent. Location was fab. Super close to the Olympic Sail Centre, May 4th Square and other touristy places can easily be accssed via metro. There is a 24hour Youke downstairs, super convenient. The view from our 37th floor was good. Only down side was housekeeping didnt clean our cups and bowls on the 2nd last day of our stay, even tho we put them in the sink. Also would be good to have some cutleries and extra glasses in the cabinets...

Huge shout-out to Elly, our butler! Her service was exceptional from check-in to check-out, promptly addressing every query with incredible efficiency. The room itself was spacious and spotless, featuring a modern, light luxury design. The 270° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking ocean views right from the bed, and the complimentary minibar was well-stocked. The high-end bathroom with a separate wet and dry area further enhanced our comfort. My absolute favorite was the infinity pool on the 31st floor; the high-altitude views were unbeatable, and the water was crystal clear. It was incredibly relaxing to sunbathe on a lounge chair after a swim. The gym facilities were brand new, with clearly defined strength and cardio zones, and professional trainers were always on hand to assist, making it easy to stick to a workout routine. Elly's thoughtful arrangements made our entire trip incredibly smooth. Highly recommend!

This Chinese New Year, I traveled solo with my 85-year-old father in a wheelchair. Beforehand, I had a lot of reservations about choosing a hotel. The main reasons I picked the Yihao Grand Hotel were its five-star rating, convenient location, and the 49th-floor revolving buffet restaurant, which offered a backup plan to enjoy the cityscape from above if it got too crowded. Prior to my arrival, considering my special circumstances, Managers Xu and Xiong from the front desk, along with their team, contacted me via WeChat to confirm my arrival time and ensure my father could check in directly upon arrival. They also made sure our room was close to the elevator, for which I'm very grateful. The room's cleanliness was excellent. Auntie Niu from the 33rd floor was incredibly helpful, assisting me with my father's wheelchair in and out, and even proactively replenishing the water in the room. Her cleaning was meticulous. My father has a good appetite but limited mobility, so every morning we went to the revolving restaurant for the breakfast buffet. Every day, we saw Manager Du – the lovely lady from the WeChat video account – who patiently catered to all of my father's requests. The breakfast spread was very generous, with fresh ingredients, and even a wide variety of meticulously prepared side dishes. My stay at the Yihao Grand Hotel completely eased my worries about traveling with my elderly father, allowing him to fulfill his wish of going out, eating, and exploring. Finally, I want to extend my thanks once again to the entire team at Yihao Grand Hotel. 😇😇

This was an upgraded room given to us by the owner, with a sea view. I deliberated for a long time before booking this B&B, originally thinking that because of the low price, it might not be that great. But as soon as we checked in, my husband praised me, saying I booked an amazing place, better than the chain hotels we've stayed in. Although prices are low in Weihai, this place definitely felt like a 200-300 yuan hotel. The sunlight was great, not at all depressing, and the kids had a wonderful time. The only thing is, it would be even better if the hotel had more elevators. Right downstairs, across the street, is the sea. There are people taking photos, places to eat, electric scooter rentals, and kids playing in the sand. Many influencers were taking photos downstairs – it was truly fantastic! The room also has cooking facilities and sand toys for the kids. The whole experience was superb!

Orange Crystal Hotel is really excellent! The environment is clean and tidy, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the facilities are complete and modern. The staff are warm and attentive, providing meticulous service. The hotel's breakfast is also rich and delicious, a great way to start the day. My experience here was fantastic, and I will definitely choose Orange Crystal Hotel again in the future.
