This hotel has a unique inclined elevator, like a mountain cable car, which is something you don't see in many places. There are also foot massage machines next to the lobby on the first floor, so you might want to give them a try if you have the chance.

This establishment is situated on the outskirts of Gotenba, a location we selected due to having a car. Navigating to this spot via public transportation might prove somewhat difficult. While there is a convenience store nearby, other walkable amenities in the immediate vicinity are limited. The hotel provides both indoor and outdoor public onsen facilities. Additionally, a foot bath offering views of Mount Fuji is available on the top floor. Guests can also enjoy ramen or soba as a complimentary midnight snack. The rooms were clean; however, some lime residue was observed on the bathroom door, which could suggest an oversight in the cleaning process.

A wonderful ryokan with its own private onsen, offering two types: open-air and indoor. Dinner and breakfast are included, and everything is incredibly delicious, featuring many new and unusual dishes. They use only high-quality ingredients for preparation. All dishes are served sequentially, with detailed explanations of what each dish is and the best order to eat them. There's a huge variety of dishes – you'll be full for a week! The presentation is like something out of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The room comes with both a kimono and pajamas, along with men's and women's amenity sets. The room itself is spacious. They prepare the tatami for you to sleep on and then put it away. The tatami was comfortable, though I found the pillows a bit hard. They were special therapeutic pillows filled with grains (perhaps buckwheat, I'm not sure what they use in Japan).

This hotel is perfectly located right by the sea, offering a fantastic environment. Transportation is also quite convenient, with a shuttle bus running between the hotel and Kawazu Station. The breakfast was just okay. If you plan to have dinner, it's definitely best to book in advance. We didn't make a reservation this time and ended up being turned away by both restaurants because they were full. There was nowhere else to eat nearby, so we had to resort to instant noodles.

The facilities were all great, but it was a bit of a shame that there were time restrictions. We arrived late in the evening and most of the drinks were gone, plus there was no comb provided in the room.

It was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there. Big thanks to all the staff who created such atmosphere

This Dormy Inn hotel maintains its signature style. There are seven private onsen on the 4th floor, and a public bath on the top floor, making for a truly wonderful hot spring experience. Both dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, with a good variety of food that is refilled promptly. In the evenings, there's complimentary ramen, and after a soak, free cold drinks. In the mornings, you can enjoy free Yakult. The service and staff attitude are also excellent. Getting to the hotel from Shuzenji Station is easy on bus C10, or if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will cost under 1500 JPY. It's definitely worth staying for two days to relax and enjoy the hot springs.

This hotel offered exceptional service, sophisticated design, and breathtaking ocean views. Its overall quality far exceeded my expectations, truly going beyond imagination. 1️⃣ Design Style The hotel's design closely mirrors high-end onsen ryokans like Kyukamura and Hoshino Resorts, embracing a light luxury, minimalist, yet grand aesthetic. The sense of space is remarkable, blending modern elements with a relaxed, Japanese resort ambiance. 2️⃣ Attention to Detail The hotel's meticulous attention to detail is truly impressive: hidden TVs, smart home controls throughout, and a private, temperature-controlled, auto-filling hot spring tub on the balcony are all incredibly practical. The mattresses and bedding are from premium brands, and even the restaurant uses WMF cutlery. These details show that the hotel isn't just focused on appearances; it's genuinely committed to perfecting its offerings. 3️⃣ Hospitality and Experience The overall operation demonstrates a sophisticated approach to hospitality. The hotel covers the taxi fare between the JR station and the hotel, and the mini-bar in the room is entirely complimentary. While these are small touches, they highlight the hotel's dedication to enhancing the guest experience. 4️⃣ Dining Experience Breakfast follows a refined Kaiseki-style with a French rhythm, served course by course, with the entire meal lasting nearly an hour. The dishes are few but of excellent quality, truly a 'small but exquisite' culinary journey. 5️⃣ Service Experience While Japanese hotels generally offer good service, this one particularly touched me. Nightly turndown service, the staff's consistent smiles, the omelet chef at breakfast proactively delivering dishes to our table, and the patient and detailed assistance from a Chinese-speaking front desk employee all made the entire stay incredibly warm and pleasant. 6️⃣ Location and View The hotel boasts a convenient location with an almost unobstructed, front-row ocean view. The most enjoyable moments were soaking in the private hot spring on the balcony, gazing out at the sea – truly a quintessential vacation feeling. Overall, this is a high-end hotel that strikes an excellent balance in design, service, views, and quality. The experience is almost flawless. If you're planning a trip to Atami, it's definitely a top choice. 💯 A perfect score for this hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel, perfect for a relaxing getaway, a relaxing break, or a relaxing retreat. It's located near Izu-Okawa Station, about a 10-minute walk with luggage. You can also email the front desk in advance to arrange a shuttle. We arrived a little after 1 a.m., and they let us check in early, which we were very grateful for! The hotel has two large baths. Once you enter, lock the door, and the entire area is yours—essentially a private bathhouse. Both indoor and outdoor, they both have water quality inspection reports! We booked a one-night stay with two meals, and it was not only incredibly satisfying, but the food was also delicious! I've previously stayed at Kaishu Onsen in Wakayama and Kannawa Onsen in Beppu, but the hot springs here are a whole other experience. In short, Isari is better than just shutting down and taking a bath!

Waking up to see the Mount Fuji from the room is the highlight. Hot spring is also available in the room. The hotel rooms are spacious and located over the hillside - the most convenient way to commute between buildings are via car/ shuttle bus; walking may take much longer. Lights in the room are a bit too dim to us. Limited amenities are available, with no toothbrush/ toothpaste in room. Futons are available, but self-serve. Access to Laforet and Izu Marriott public hot springs is available. Unfortunately towels are not available in the public bath of Laforet - towels need to brought from hotel room. Standard dinner / breakfast buffets are available.

All the staff at the hotel were really friendly, theres a public onsen (indoor and rotenba) on lvl 2, and a lvl 6 rooftop footbath. Both days breakfast were delicious. Definitely will revisit the place when i come back to nishiizu. Bus from shuzenji stops right infront of the hotel, traveling back to main town is convienient too.

Amazing
This was my first stay at this hot spring hotel, and it was a delightful surprise. The food and ambiance were top-notch, and there were 14 individual hot springs of varying sizes. The service was excellent, the place was clean and tidy, and it faced the sea. The room was well-equipped, and the TV had Netflix. During my stay at Atami Ryokan, there was a fireworks display, and the hotel provided a shuttle bus directly to the fireworks show – it was absolutely wonderful.
