Romantic Hotels in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

It’s a very charming place with a real wabi-sabi atmosphere - simple, quiet, and full of nostalgic beauty. Quite old-fashioned, but well maintained. This spot became popular on a Russian platform, so there are many tourists from Russia ( me as well) . When I visited the onsen, there were seven people in total - all Russian girls. Overall, it doesn’t stop you from having a great rest. However, it’s not really suitable for a honeymoon, as my husband and I were separated the whole time — there are no mixed onsens for men and women, probably because the place is now mostly visited by foreigners. When we checked out, they kindly drove us back to the station. I left with a complete sense of relaxation. Thank you!

The room is very smelly with cigarettes smell even though I've sprayed the air fresher many times. The hotel seems a bit old, and I felt the bathtub is smaller compared to others which around the same range. The lobby is nice but the room seems the opposite. Amenities wise they provided a lot of choices at the lobby and you can just choose yourself.

This Dormy Inn hotel maintains its signature style. There are seven private onsen on the 4th floor, and a public bath on the top floor, making for a truly wonderful hot spring experience. Both dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, with a good variety of food that is refilled promptly. In the evenings, there's complimentary ramen, and after a soak, free cold drinks. In the mornings, you can enjoy free Yakult. The service and staff attitude are also excellent. Getting to the hotel from Shuzenji Station is easy on bus C10, or if you have a lot of luggage, a taxi will cost under 1500 JPY. It's definitely worth staying for two days to relax and enjoy the hot springs.

This hotel is perfectly located right by the sea, offering a fantastic environment. Transportation is also quite convenient, with a shuttle bus running between the hotel and Kawazu Station. The breakfast was just okay. If you plan to have dinner, it's definitely best to book in advance. We didn't make a reservation this time and ended up being turned away by both restaurants because they were full. There was nowhere else to eat nearby, so we had to resort to instant noodles.

Amazing hotel with the Fuji View from the room, don’t have to travel to viewpoints just to see Fujisan. Toilet is nicely segregated and the room is super big and spacious that I can open my luggages freely. The free public bath is amazing with different options for onsen and sauna room. Location is good, right beside Gotemba premium outlet so shopping was very convenient. But if you are not driving, might be difficult for you to get food at night .. Nearest 7-11 is quite a walk as its located deep inside Gotemba premium outlet.

Absolutely gem of a ryokan and our favourite place to stay. Admittedly we did have the western beds (very cozy). Having a room along the river and across the suspension bridge was magical and exciting. Everything was perfect. The staff were so welcoming and made us feel incredibly at home from the moment we arrived. The highlight for us was our private riverside onsen right in our room—soaking there with the sound of the river rushing by was pure magic. The beautiful ”Kikuya Pond” (KKJ pond) and the overall historic, serene layout of the property added so much charm to the experience. The Kaiseki dining was utterly delicious, beautifully presented, and a true culinary highlight of our trip. As Westerners, we felt incredibly valued, respected, and well-taken care of by the staff. That being said, hospitality goes both ways! We highly recommend that fellow Western travellers take the time to learn basic Japanese phrases and standard ryokan etiquette before visiting. It’s a two-way street, and showing that respect makes an already world-class experience even more meaningful. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We cannot recommend Yukairo Kikuya highly enough and cannot wait to return. Overall, I had a great stay at Dormy Inn. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The onsen was definitely a highlight, clean, relaxing, and well maintained, great view of Mount Fuji! The only downside was that there wasn’t a restaurant open for dinner, which would have been really convenient after a long day out. Other than that, everything was excellent and I would happily stay here again.

This place was surprisingly good! The scenery is indeed beautiful and the rooms are spacious. What really stood out was the more extensive self-service drinks available on the first floor – a very thoughtful touch. I'll definitely be back next time. Highly recommend!

Our first time in Shizuoka Hotel Accasia Shizuoka is big Classic Old style hotel consists of many restaurants and Banquet facilities Breakfast serving miso soup, udon be able to warm by yourself, rice with curry, Fresh Salad with various dressing, sausage , bread and butter and ice matcha unlimited. Don’t miss sweet one… Pudding Accasia style 🥰 Our in room is OK only one such as very soft bed is not suitable for healthy lovers. Room view not good Possibly we have stayed in lower floor #523 Anyway, happy to stay caused by very good location Not only very close to JR Shizuoka, restaurants in Parches building , Asty , and City Bus stations etc.

The room was fantastic, and the private hot spring design was truly unique. The Kaiseki dinner was delicious, and the staff member who provided service in Chinese was very enthusiastic. The hotel is right by the ocean, so you can take a stroll along the coast, enjoying the beautiful sea views and watching the sunrise and sunset. There are also yachts docked nearby. It's within walking distance to Atami's pedestrian street, with a wide variety of restaurants close by. Plus, there's a free shuttle service from Atami Station to the hotel. I really love this hotel and would definitely visit again if I have the chance!
